La World On Communications, dal 1990, ha realizzato oltre 80 videoguide su differenti e suggestivi luoghi del mondo.
Ogni video-app è una piccola guida strutturata come un itinerario facilmente ripercorribile durante le proprie vacanze ed è suddivisa in 3 parti:

- Scheda Informazioni
- Videoclip
Ogni app è strutturata in modo autonoma e funziona senza la necessità di un collegamento internet. Non usiamo sensori né tracker per la geolocalizzazione e non raccogliamo alcun dato utente.
La struttura dell'app è quella di una brochure informativa multimediale e quindi non vi guiderà da casa vostra alle destinazioni mostrate nel video.
Questa app intitolata "Islanda1" è una della serie di 8 app-guide dedicate all'immenso patrimonio naturale e culturale dell'Islanda.
Le prime 4 guide riguardano Reykjavík e i tour realizzabili con base a Reykjavík mentre le altre sono ambientate nelle regioni del nord e, l'ultima app ci proporrà l'Islanda in versione invernale.
