Casa Quintil es una organización Comunitaria, en el marco de la Ley 19.418.Fue creada a partir de “Un encuentro de estudiantes y profesionales de las universidades de la Región de Valparaíso de los años 1960 hasta 1973, en el año 2004”
En aquella ocasión, fue convocada por varios ex presidentes de las Federaciones estudiantiles de aquella época.
Hoy es una organización con personalidad jurídica y actúa dialogando con los diferentes actores de la ciudad de Valparaíso y su Región en la búsqueda de la ciudad, región y país que queremos.
El diálogo buscado es fundamentalmente con las organizaciones sociales de base; cuyo objetivo sea contribuir en la recomposición y coordinación de la redes sociales, reencontrarnos con objetivos comunes, junto a sus reivindicaciones sociales, políticas y económicas, que nos conduzcan a una
sociedad más fraternal, inclusiva, con justicia e igualdad, sin ningún tipo de discriminación.
La radio comunitaria defiende la democracia y respeta la pluralidad de opiniones.
Trabaja para solucionar los problemas sociales de las comunidades y desarrollar la educación, la ciencia, la cultura y el deporte.
Se ocupa de promover tanto los conocimientos como las actividades del colectivo.
