EFLORAUAM permite hacer fotos de plantas, identificarlas y conocer sus caracteres botánicos.La aplicación móvil eFloraUAM ha sido desarrollada por investigadores y estudiantes de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid y ha sido financiada en la convocatoria INNOVA 2020-21 de esta Universidad, así como con fondos del Departamento de Biología y del Vicerrectorado de Campus y Sostenibilidad.
Nuestra principal misión es conocer y conservar las plantas de nuestro entorno.
La aplicación forma parte del proyecto de ciencia ciudadana Flora virtual participativa de la UAM y alrededores (C_019.20_INN). Su objetivo es crear un catálogo florístico virtual colaborativo del entorno del campus de Cantoblanco (UAM) basado en fotografías de los usuarios que permita familiarizarse con conceptos y caracteres botánicos relevantes para la identificación de especies. Cualquier usuario podrá ver las fotografías y etiquetas del resto de usuarios, mientras los usuarios registrados podrán subir sus propias fotografías y etiquetas. Un equipo de botánicos supervisará las identificaciones y etiquetas y corregirá las que sean necesarias.
