Hi, and thank you for sticking with this app!I now maintain the app only (my interests have shifted a while ago: sorry!).
In this release, I have fixed a problem with the loading of photographic environments and enabled VR Theater for new Android devices.
For practical reasons, I also increased the minimum Android version to use the app to 6.0.

How to install VR Theater for Cardboard APK on Android phone or tablet?
Download VR Theater for Cardboard APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
- Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
- Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
- Tap the APK file you downloaded (it.couchgames.apps.cardboardcinema-v0.12.11-ApkClean.apk)
- Tap Install when prompted, the APK file you downloaded will be installed on your device.

5 ★excellent work. i downloaded and uninstalled dozens of apps but it is almost perfect.(edit) 1. can you keep the screen rectangular. rounded sides are not always good. 2. when i increase the screen size the big red dot looks ugly. also the pointer is difficult to find. 3. if progrees bar is added then it will be perfect.
5 ★I have recently purchased a google cardboard style headset and have tested the same 3D video on over 40 different VR Video players. I have a Hauwei P20 and after thorough testing, this app is by far the best in terms of 3D picture quality. Very impressed and it doesn't take too long to get used to its user friendly interface. You're only temporary drawback is that it will struggle playing some Ultra HQ movies, but it looks like this is being improved. Brilliant work, thank you!!
4 ★I really like this app because of the easiness of the motion controls, but I have a remote control (Android senses it like a keyboard/mouse) that I sometimes like to use to quickly tap the screen to reenter instead of using the motion control to do it, or to use the cursor to start the video after I already have my headset on, but whenever I use the remote, I get this weird green rectangle in the top left of the screen.
4 ★This is honestly a great app, the interface is nice and simple, the 3d works very good and the quality is just super for a free application with no ads! There are a few bugs unfortunately that I have encountered, i cant skip or playnack the video/movie otherwise the audio just skips to a completely other time in the video which is a bit unfortunate, and maybe add in an extra few description sets for all the buttons. Otherwise this is still a very good app! Thanks!
4 ★Impressive app and the most interesting app description I've ever seen (such a cool author!). The app still works flawlessly on my older phone (LG G5 on Nougat) but after switching to LG V35 on Android Pie it only works for local videos as it has lost the ability to stream from LAN (samba) shares! Now every attempt to stream a video from a network share gets the app stuck at "Checking the file format..." for several seconds and eventually fails with "This file cannot be read by the embedded audio/video decoder of the device", which is incorrect because it works perfectly if I copy that same file to the local storage on the phone. I tried resetting the Android default apps, reinstalled the app etc. but it still fails the same. Also, I tried different file managers -- and they all can stream that video from the network share if I select another video player (e.g. MX Player), it's only this app which cannot do it (even though it worked fine before on nougat and the older phone). If this little network streaming bug is fixed I'll gladly update the rating to 5 stars, because otherwise the app and the author deserve all the praise!
5 ★Seems to worked to play fullsbs 3d movies right away. Is there a way to move the red "options" bubble? I like to zoom in a little and it covers part of the video... Maybe make it even lower? All in all though, worked better than everything else that I tried so far. * Update... Found it in the settings.
4 ★I like it but i found when I started watching an actual movie the image (video... whatever you call it) was moving to my left.... i would go to the setting then go back into the movie (because cranking my neck to the left was hurting) that was kinda weird but other then that its a not bad app. P. S FOR THOSE WHO DONT READ THE DESC. THIS IS AN APP FOR WATCHING MOVIES YOU ALREADY GOT ON YOUR PHONE WITH A VR HEADSET!

5 ★Awesome app. My go to VR cinema app. Works really well. Update March 3rd 2020. Still the best and simplest VR player for locally stored content. I had to change ROM recently on my Smartphone, moved from Android 9 to 10 (not an upgrade, but a full wipe, esentailly a factory reset). I can launch all my 3D movies from a file browser, both from the local storage and the SD Card, but hidden files no longer show up (my kids use the VR on my phone, but some of my films are rated way beyond their age so I keep them in a hidden folder with .nomedia so the kids can't stumble across them when they are using my phone). Am I doing something wrong, I seem to remember that hidden files showed up without a problem before my phone rebuild. I suppose I'm also wondering is this is a new feature of Android 10). Any advice much appreciated.
4 ★Great app! I've been looking for a true full screen VR app & this one let's you get the closest to that option that I've found.
5 ★Updated to Android 10 and seems to not be compatible. The app seems to not be able to find my videos anymore, nor can I connect to it via, going to the video, and manually choose it to view in the app. The option just doesnt show up. You also don't see any videos in the app under my videos. Will change to 5 stars when fixed. The app is honestly my favorite among the rest vr simulator.
5 ★This is the first and only VR Theater app that lets me watch movies from my SD card without altering screen resolution in weird ways. No more having to turn my head or look up or down to see portions of movies displayed too big onto Google Cardboard devices. The screen (non-360 movies) is right in front of face just like a real movie theater. Easy peasy. Oh. And pixel resolution is accurate too. Other apps couldn't t accurately deliver same image clarity as this app. I even got a couple webm meditation videos to play. Awesome!
