Classic Words is the number one word game to play against your smartphone or tablet (solitaire mode).
Enrich your vocabulary thanks to the built-in word definitions! 6 difficulty levels and many languages are supported: English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Dutch, and Polish.
Tired of stumbling across cheaters or waiting hours for your opponent's next move on multiplayer word games? Try out Classic Words for instant fun, no matter if you are a beginner in crossword games or a tournament player!
Choose the skill level of the computer (from beginner to expert), pick a word list (English word lists include the latest NASPA Word List 2020), and use your strategy skills and vocabulary to try and defeat the Droid.
Classic Words gameplay is classical to crosswords board games: create and place words on the board and boost your score by placing letters on the high scoring Double Letter, Double Word, Triple Letter, and Triple Word squares. Use all 7 letters from your rack to play a Bingo and get a 50 points bonus.
This game is a great time killer for all board games and strategy games fans. It's also a fun way to improve your spelling and vocabulary.
Thanks to the fast reactivity and variable skill of the computer and quality word lists, Classic Words is used by many enthusiasts to play quick training matches and learn new words from the computer's moves.
Unlike multiplayer board games where some dishonest players use anagram solvers, there is no cheating possible when playing solitaire... Letters and blanks are always picked randomly, and the computer's artificial intelligence does not have more information than you do.
Only your tactics and creativity can make the difference... Will you play strategically enough to outwit the computer and its extensive vocabulary?
☆ Features ☆ • Smart AI • 6 levels of difficulty • Display the definition of words by swiping them • Supports offline play • Languages and dictionaries supported: - English (official NASPA Word List 2020, used in US tournaments, and International English official list) - German (with support of Umlauts, and Ezset to be replaced by two 'S') - French (official list used in tournaments) - Italian - Spanish - Dutch - Polish • Distribution of letters and points is adapted to the language

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Love this game. It has no ads and is fun to play. However it does accept words that wouldn't be allowed in regular scrabble. Plus I believe that sometimes the way the letters are placed by the droid, it is actually two turns. Also, when I changed to a "hard" game, it seemed like I got all low numbered (worth) tiles.
4 ★Very good, not too many ads, BUT: there are words valid in SOWPODS (which is the word list I am using, it's also the default) that are *not recognized as valid* by this app. For example, "proas" and "wadi." One is a plural of a type of boat, the other a usually-dry gully. Both are in SOWPODS but were rejected as non-existent words by this app. So it's good, but not great. Still a ton of fun if you are in need of a quick Scrabble fix on a plane or something. Also accepts a lot of those "naughty" but useful short words that were excised for politically-correct reasons in OWL. Funny those are in their version of SOWPODS, but "proas" and "wadi" are not!
4 ★good, maybe the best version of this type of game played especially in terms of the realistic computer opponent. but letter distributions feels very wrong and not close to random. after 5 games, i got stuck with the j and q all 5 times. on the 6th game, opponent makes "fizzy" (without using anitalicized blank tile, and over a double word nonetheless) which is infeasible on the associated board game.
3 ★The game is fine and the dictionary is fairly complete. However, there is a major bug in the algorithm that distributes the tiles. For instance, in the game I just completed, on two separate occasions, I received three i's. Satistically, the odds of this happening are indistinguishable from zero.
1 ★So, I've played for years now on very hard. I do well. Extremely hard, the AI cheats. The game becomes tedious, aggravating and agitating. The AI is programmed to frustrate, not compete at this level. It's not about winning, I win more than I lose, IT'S ABOUT FUN. There is no more fun. I think the dev doesn't understand the game well enough to create good play. Again, this is at the extremely hard level. Up until then, it has been good.
4 ★Really like playing this game. Suspiciously, the computer droid gets the best letters &, thus, makes a lot of high scoring words at the oddest times (like toward end of game where it's difficult to even find space for your measily words. Also, game board is too small on my Android, board zoom is too large, letters on shelf are difficult to place where you want them. Otherwise, the game is fun & you can definitely beat the droid on the easy & hard levels or at least come close. 😁 Worth playing.
3 ★I've been playing in Hard mode. I've noticed on several occasions I've gotten a minimum of 6 vowels and often 7. I don't believe this is purely by chance. I believe the game has a tile draw algorithm which sometimes gives the AI the edge. I've never seen this phenomenon this often when playing physical Scrabble.
5 ★This is my favorite app and I use the solo game to increase my word list. There are only two things I would change. First stabilize the board. The board is clear in full view until you place a letter then it zooms and putting on the next letters is really annoying. Please keep the board stable. Secondly I sound out new words with the letters so the app tells me when I have hit on a new word. The problem: I can't check the meaning until I have played. EMBARRASSMENT! Please rethink words you allow
3 ★I have been playing this game for 2 years which has helped me tremendously with a personal loss. My score is 654/730. My percentage is 89.6. I don't understand why the score increases in fractions when you win but takes a whole point off when you lose. This doesn't seem fair and it annoys me. I should give 4 stars for all of the pleasure l get but am sticking with 3 for the frustration.
5 ★Plays perfectly! No annoying interruptions! I've been playing Scrabble with my family for 35 to 40 years. This app is amazing and isn't filled with a bunch of junk! I have it customized to use the Extremely Hard play level, English SOWPODS word list, prevent the Droid from using rare words, and help my luck by preventing bad draws. These settings work well for me, and though I do win about 80 percent of games, it is still challenging enough to be enjoyable. I love it! Good job!!!
4 ★I have been playing the extremely hard version for years and I can't remember ever having two Ss on my rack at the same time. In the last five games I've played the droid has scored at least three 7-letter bingos, each having two "S"s. This makes it very difficult to believe the letters from the pool come at random. I win against the droid most of the time, but getting beat by double S bingos is beyond frustrating.
5 ★Grown up scrabble. No bells, whistles or miscellaneous fillers. I'm going to delete Scrabble Go. This is my new game. Thank you! One week later and I still like the game. But why, when you reach the end of the game, does the program prematurely end the game while there are still more letters to be played? Ok. Figured out that game ends when all tiles are played. Still loving the game. Would be a plus if computer offered "best play" words.
