Otabek Mamazoitov 1974 yilning 23 yanvarida Farg'onada tug'ilgan. Otasi Mamadali va onasi Marhabohonlarning to'ng'ich farzandi bo'lib, 2 singlisi bor. Katta singlisi Go'zalxon, kichigi O'zbekistonda xalq artisti Gulsanam Mamazoitovadir.
Otabek Muhammadzohid 1992-94 yillarda Turkiyaning "Saljuq" Universitetining musiqa fakultetida pianino va ud cholg'usi bo'yicha tahsil olgan.
1996 yilda Farg'ona Davlat Universitetining "O'zbek madaniyati va san'ati" fakultetini tamomlagan. O'zbekiston xalq hofizi, professor Tavakkal Qodirov qo'lida tahsil olgan.
Otabek Muhammadzohid qo'shiqchilik faoliyati jarayonida 1982-1992 yillarda O'zbek sahnasida porlagan yulduzlarning qo'shiqlarini ihlos bilan yod olgan.
Shu bilan birga, repertuaridagi ko'pgina qo'shiqlarning muallifi ham Otabek Muhammadzohidning o'zidir.
