Description
The Strikeman app allows users to practice their shooting skills without the need for real ammunition. Using our laser bullet, target and smart phone mount, the app records the target and records the users shot scores based on where the laser hit the target.The app is composed of 3 sections:
Section 1 – Training
The training section is the initial area of the app where the user can practice their shooting skills. Upon beginning a session, a warning screen is shown to ensure that proper firearm safety is taking place before beginning a session. Once the user agrees, the target appears on the screen. The user calibrates the screen to the target by using two fingers to cover the circumference of the target. Then, the distance from the target is selected and they can begin shooting. Each shot from the firearm triggers a laser, which emits a laser strike on the target, and the app records the score. Shooting metrics appear on the screen to show the user how they are doing during the session. This is accompanied by audio. Once the session is complete, all shots will be shown on the target and saved into an archive.
Section 2 – History
The history section provides screenshots, shooting metrics, and graphs for the user to track their progress. This includes average score, average range, total shots and total sessions. The information is presented on a histogram and a pie chart. This information is saved in an archive.
Section 3 – Settings
The settings section allows the user to turn on/off gun shot audio and voice feedback. Users can toggle the distance metric, selecting either feet or yards. They can also report an issue if the app isn’t working correctly. The App provides access to the initial tutorial to ensure that all safety precautions are being taken.

5 ★The system works great. I had my wife knocking the center out with her new 9mm carry, now she is ready for the range. Ordering more calibers !
1 ★App doesn't open consistently. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't
3 ★I tried using it today but got a message saying it stopped working. Not happy with it.
5 ★After a few glitches, no fault of Strikeman, I worked those out. The biggest thing is lighting. At times it would record 10 shots all by itself. After adjusting the lights it worked every time. It records every hit, or miss, and charts percentages in each target area. If you see a bright dot, you're doing great. If you see a streak, shows you need work keeping control. I would highly recommend this to keep practicing to build up muscle memory and learning what bad habits you need to overcome.
5 ★I had some challenges in the assembly of the target and tripod, and there is room for improvement there. However, the app is amazing. It gives you instant feedback and, in my experience, it correlates highly with the feedback from live ammo practice (with the obvious exceptions of recoil and recentering). I enjoyed my first training almost as much as a live session. It will get me through the pandemic and the ammo shortage.
5 ★to some degree the jury is still out on my Strikeman system. I have only had it a week. But i have learned to use it. It is both easy to install and easy to use. . It has definitely helped me tweak a small trigger issue. Getting everything lined up was much less of an issue than i thought it would be. I have had none of the problem other reviewers complain about. I am going to order the 5.56 insert next and use it with my carbine. I anticipate this system helping me become a better shooter.
1 ★This app is not very polished or robust. It has WAY too many mandatory inputs before you get to start shooting. Centering the target on the screen is unavoidably clunky and tedious. Worst of all you have to re-enter all the parameters every single time you use the app. Come on, let me repeat a previous session to avoid redoing everything each time. I quit using this app after 3 sessions. What a waste of time.
5 ★Fun & Addictive! Super easy and quick setup and you are shooting. Excellent finger control and hand/eye coordination drills without ammo. Quick draw drills without the risk of shooting yourself. Refer back to past sessions to see your progression. So far, I am set up for 3 different calibers, but I plan on expanding.
5 ★AWESOME product..i was able to make grip and trigger finger corrections durring the first session. This product has already paid for itself in saved ammunition. Im looking forward to further training at various distances and different lighting indoors and out and applying the corrections i have made at the range with live rounds.
5 ★Easy to set up and use. Provides a really fun way to practice without breaking the bank. With many different cartridges available, covering the common calibers, you will find a wonderful system to keep your skills up to snuff, and improve upon. I highly recommend the Strikeman app and system to anyone who finds current prices to be highly restrictive to getting in daily or even weekly range time. The system provides immediate feedback, allowing one to concentrate on technique and form. My group at 10 yards was significantly improved with just 3 very short sessions. I am looking forward to seeing the results out in the field. I cannot recommend this highly enough to anyone who wants to improve their shooting skills.
5 ★Great way to practice at home. I am confident most issues you encounter will be your own human error. Once you figure out how to set up your phone and camera with the target, it becomes very easy to get a quick practice in. Note: Pixel 4 fails to focus sometimes. If I back out of the app, open my camera, refocus as you would normally, and then reopen the app...the issue is resolved.
5 ★A great training tool. The system is easy to use and understand, it provides a solid foundation for dry fire training and tracking. I would and have highly recommended it to my friends and colleagues. Well worth the investment.
