Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

5 ★It has all the necessary features, all board sizes and it's surprisingly strong for me. Even level 1 is causing me difficulty but I guess I owe that to not playing for so many months
5 ★Recent update caused it to stop working. I could no longer access the menus. Before that it was an excellent program...a much better go player than I am. Hope you can fix it. I use Galaxy Note II.
5 ★This has been my favorite game app in terms of replay value. Only have a couple quibbles so far: it always scores a seki as dead, instead of neutral. Also, the limited redo is a little unfortunate when I want to simply review the history a ways back.
4 ★The level of play is almost infinitely variable. This is mostly good. It is a little annoying because it took a lot of fiddling in order to adjust it so I get a good game - and the adjustment is not very linear. this is very forgivable given how deep the go is as a game, but flipping between winning by 70 stone to losing by the same amount is a little exasperating. Still I highly recommend it
5 ★All the options one could wish and a wide range of difficulties (although maybe not weak enough for the very fresh beginner). If I only knew how to keep the AI from resigning it would be perfect.
2 ★It's completly free and only asks for storage card permission for game saving/loading. The interface is very good. It has never had crash issue on my devices. The included GNU Go AI works perfectly. If you are looking for more challenges and willing to pay, check 'Crazy Stone Deep Learning', the strongest mobile app available. Free app is available too.
5 ★Can we get an estimated rank for the AI per difficulty level? (i.e. Diff 1= 16 kyu; Diff 10= 11 kyu?)
5 ★Thank you so much for allowing me to practice Go whenever. The undo feature really helps a noob like me learn from my mistakes while still being able to play through a game.
5 ★There is one problem though : when playing on a small phone the score isn't readable - it is too small. Besides that the ai is very good and for a low level player such as myself hard to beat.
3 ★No landscape mode, doesn't prevent screen from sleeping while player's move, unexpected actions on gestures. The only big plus - no ads and no excessive permissions.
2 ★The AI is weak against strong players. Also, I play white giving 9 handicaps to level 10 AI, but midgame it automatically closes. It only happens when I'm winning by a large margin
5 ★A decent game of Go for mobile. AI is pretty good, about 9kyu level I think. Although at the highest AI difficulty settings, it can took quite a while to calculate the next move.
