Description

Nostalgia IS NOT an emulator.

Nostalgia is an emulator frontend. It is a single menu to display all of your retro games and launch them directly to your favorite android emulators behind the scenes.

Do you want a clean frontend app to unify all of your android emulators. One that shows all of your different games with cover art and descriptions instead of just titles? Nostalgia is your answer.

Nostalgia is best experienced with a controller.
Tested controllers: Ouya, Wireless Xbox 360, Nyko, Moga, Wired PS3, Shield. Others may work but haven't been verified.

About the in-app purchase:
• There is only one in-app purchase in Nostalgia to unlock the full version permanently
• I will NEVER charge for additional features of Nostalgia on Google Play. Ever.

What is demo mode?
The ONLY limitation in demo mode is that you can only select one game console to launch an emulator for. You can still use all the other features and fully populate all of the menus for any system you have so you can see what it will look like.

What is Nostalgia?
Nostalgia is a user interface compatible with many android emulators. Install the emulators and then use Nostalgia's configuration menu to set the emulator to use and the game directory. Once you have set those fields, Nostalgia can go out and fetch the best shot at the cover art and descriptions for the games. Once those steps are done you will have a fancy new menu for each of your emulated systems with cover art and all. You can see the complete list of compatible emulators below.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Retrox is way better you might have to get it off Google chrome and it maycost 13 dollars but it's well worth it way better than this appuninstalling this now
2 ★Doesn't work on phone or tablet. Requires keypad. Would like to use it asnice front end on tablet.
5 ★Cool app. Works great on Samsung Galaxy..
5 ★Great app. Nice use of box art and easy to configure. A+
1 ★STOP. ALL YOU'RE DOING IS MAKING AN SIMULATION OF YOUR OWN PHONE. STOP IT!
1 ★Suckssssss
5 ★awesome!!!
5 ★This is a great emulator frontend. I've been using it since the Ouya, and now that I've migrated to the Shield I'm so pleased to see it's still around. One important element that a lot of users are likely missing is the use of a controller. It doesn't work that well without a physical controller to navigate and play with. Some see that as an issue, but as I'm primarily playing on my Shield (and also using my old Ouya controllers, which work just the same as they did before on the Shield). It doesn't take too much work to set up (unlike RetroArch, which is powerful, but a nightmare to navigate and operate). You can see the cover art for the games, which is pleasant and a nice little polish for when you're playing games with friends and they spot the cover of some game they haven't played in 15 or 20 years. Quick Edit: For those looking for a more straightforward and mobile friendly app, look at ClassicBoy. It doesn't offer a ton of systems, but it does have some pretty nice touch controls and lots of setting options for the user who wants to bother.
3 ★I don't get this app. It was not simple to fetch data for your ROMs due to the weird interface that uses swipes! Anyways, the deal breaker for me is that this frontend doesn't use my retroarch's setting. That was so confusing! Why would this app over ride my own settings from this frontend. Pls advise. Update: I had to copy over my original retroarch config file to get my setting into SNES directory. Why can't the app just use the original config file from retroarch instead of Nostalgia making its own. I hope you guys fix this because this was a bad impression of the app. Other than that, I'm liking the rest.
4 ★Like it. It needs a little polishing in some places. It would be nice to have the game list not just a list of box art, but maybe a list with art plus descriptions either side of the list, only showing box art if available. The blank box art is pretty ugly.
5 ★Pretty, and nicely configurable. This was a great app on Ouya and I'm pleased to say it's just as great now. The only thing I would like is the ability to put metadata where I want, otherwise it's the best front end IMHO.
4 ★I love this app, purchsed inapp, however when scraping it doesn't fetch data like esrb, developer and publisher, I have to manually add them in nfo file, I wish there was pegi rating for eur games Edit There is no genre entry in metadata
