4 ★App ould be ok but the ad when you open it is irritating. I understand Scala is a commercial station and gets income from on air adverts, but this is just milking it. I'll go elsewhere. Edit - I see you have added another trick that does not allow users to skip logon process - I'll use TuneIn then. Edit 2 They seem to have removed the irritating features for now at least :-)
4 ★Please allow us to navigate our way through an episode by tapping (or scrubbing) on the timeline, or at least give us a back 5 mins button like you have for going forwards. Also please consider not having full screen adverts as it may not be clear to some how to exit them which is an underhanded way of getting clicks.
5 ★If you think you might like classical music, but are put off by mainstream stations like classic fm and radio 3, give Scala a go! They do numerous classical style covers of modern songs which are great as well as the more up beat and other great classics. The presenters are interesting and informative, in my car is taken over their sister station absolute as my most listen to station!
5 ★Great to have a radio station which programs newer/experimental as well as older classical music without the 'straight' seriousness of the regular stations - lively and informed presenters too. I especially like the Kermode movie soundtracks show on Saturdays. Highly recommend if you like symphonic music but not sure where to start to know more!
1 ★Used to work, apart from Chromecast issues. But last week or so I can't even open it. It started crashing as soon as I closed the ad that comes up at the start (Snoop). Tried reinstalling several times, clearing the cache. Now it crashes even before the startup advert appears. Listener lost - will go back to Classic FM.
4 ★Wonderful schedule of classical music with high quality audio. However, it would be brilliant if it was possible to download shows for offline listening, as you can with BBC Sounds and Classic FM (even if one had to pay as with Spotify).
5 ★Best station I have ever listened too, except Sundays rather eclectic mix. Particularly Charles Gove at breakfast and mindfulness slot before bed.
5 ★A great way to listen to this DAB radio station while out & about, particularly in car with a Bluetooth or aux connection to the car radio. Also supported in Android Auto app. Handy to be able to easily browse both Scala 'listen again' shows, and other Bauer radio stations like Jazz FM. Very good sound quality too.
5 ★This app allows me to listen to my favourite radio station whenever and wherever I am out and about. I love it, great presenters, great music, a sensible, informative and very entertaining listen.I wish I had discovered Scala a year ago, when they first started.
2 ★App works after a fashion. Hangs first try, usually works second try. Sometimes wants all my details. Scala music good, ads including product placement can irritate. Update: Now app says by using it I agree to it storing first and third party id. Privacy policy link just takes me to a blank page.
1 ★The radio station is good so far, but the techology is poor. Google voice never finds Scala on my home mini smart speaker. This android app has issues with stopping. I either get Simon Mayo saying I need to check my network connection about 5 minutes after stopping, or the live radio just suddenly restarts playing. Needs work - get the basic listening experience right before adding shiny new features please.
4 ★Not bad , watered down Classic FM so will not appeal to a lot of people. Been using since day one so jury still out . Less ads at the moment which is good, but a melody of Star War themes, noooooo. App not a bad design and works well with Google Home
