The Society of Dark Cuisine is an ancient and mysterious organization comprised of brave adventurers willing to explore the unexplored and to taste the untasted. With the help of the mystical Sootsoot, they seek out and capture strange monsters in order to farm their divine ingredients.
And what do they do with these ingredients? Cook, of course! Back up above, the Sootsoot sell delicious meals to surface dwellers, raking in as much profit as possible to further expand underground. 5 ★MC is a truly enjoyable game. Graphics are interesting and cute, gameplay is varied, and the concept is original. (I'd rated it a 2 previously only because of the FB login option.) Today I started the game and found everything gone, back to square one. I emailed support, they responded immediately. I'd lost my original ID but they tracked it down via my purchases and everything was restored within 2 hours. Thank you, Joyce! Not only is this a great game but it's supported by wonderful staff!
5 ★Very engaging game. This is the first game I've seem in which the ads aren't annoying. Doesn't occupy much time but is pretty addictive. Very creative. Highly recommended :)

4 ★Still trying to get the game concept down. But i like that there is so many different tasks that have different goals and rewards. Very cool idea and entertaining with new age stradegy concept
4 ★Love the aesthetic, and really love that the main in-game currency is something you get an abundance of from doing tasks, & thus it's very playable without ever being tempted by microtransactions or even too much grinding. I'm only giving it 4 stars because I feel like there's only so much playtime you can get out of it before it gets repetitive, but a really good, fun, well-designed free game.
4 ★The new hunt mode is great. Occasional lag but not too bad. Overall nice addition to the game. Waiting for new maps update.
4 ★Edit: the ads got worse, they crash the game or don't give you the reward half the time. This game is awesome. Lots of content, complex, funny ideas, you can give it as much time as you want. The stories of patrons are interesting but whoever wrote them didn't even bother reading after themselves. There are grammar mistakes, there are sentences cut off in the middle or ones that repeat the exact same thing the sentence before them said. Otherwise it's been great :)
5 ★Best free to play game I've played in a long time. Cute, creative, engaging, the advertisement is minimal, I haven't felt pressured to buy anything yet but I'm totally addicted. There's so much to do, it isn't too repetitive, I imagine I'll feel compelled to buy something in the future, but for all the enjoyment I'm having, I think it's worth it. Amazing work on this game. ❤️
4 ★unique game, but a bit confusing especially for beginners. maybe provide more assistance to new players or recommend quests that will guide them throughout the game. i like the art style, a bit disturbing actions when producing ingredients, an acquired taste. a bit different from what i thought it would be based from the ads. thought it was more into cooking than collecting, I didnt expect idle cooking and active monster hunting.
5 ★A good way to pass time! I've been looking for games to help me through this quarantine and needless to say this is one of the few game that managed not to make me bored. It has many features and combines many elements which made the game uniquely charming. The gameplay itself is easy to understand and I would say it's free player friendly. I would advise anyone looking for a relaxing, not time consuming game to try Monster Chef!
3 ★So far the game is quite fun. I like the art style, and the gameplay is varied and different from other cooking games. There are challenges and quests, places to explore and recipes to unlock. Edit: Unfortunately, since the anniversary update, the game is laggy and often crashes. Sometimes it won't open at all, as in it can't connect to servers or player data not found. I can't recommend the game in its current state as getting it to work is a complete toss up at this point.
4 ★It's a funny take on the Chinese saying "Dark cuisine", which means recipes using unusual ingredients. In this case, your ingredients are harvested from monsters. Being an idle game, the game itself is addictive and the reward system is good, but it's a bit too complicated for a mobile game. Graphic is crude but still looks good. I'm actually quite impressed with the translation work! Suggestion: put an option for language before the tutorial.
