Description
Welcome to the Nashville Mini Maker Faire 2015 demo app! This is a simple demonstration of virtual reality created for the Google Cardboard headset. The controls are simple: aim with your head, and use the trigger on your Cardboard headset to launch a ball. You can even knock the letters in front of you out of the sky and into the canyon below!
This application is going to be used as a demonstration at the 2015 Nashville Mini Maker Faire, which takes place at the Adventure Science Center in Nashville, TN on September 12, 2015, where I will be presenting about VR and video games. Drop by and check it out!
This demo was made using free tools, including the Unity game engine, as well as Blender (a free, open source 3D modeling and animation application), by a single person in spare time. The intent is to show that, given some basic resources, like a computer and enough time (and patience), almost anyone can create their own video games and applications. And with just a few more tools - a smartphone and a Cardboard headset - you can even start making your own Virtual Reality experiences and games!
There are many great free tutorials online for how to get started, so search around if you want to know how to get into video game development.

Questions & Answers
Q: What is an APK File?
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.
