夢か現か幻か…かつて失踪した幼馴染の少女の面影を求めて思い出の場所を訪れた八雲宗介は、そこで幽かに煙る霧の向こうに彼女の姿を目にする。
だが、次の瞬間、宗介の前に現れたのは、この世の者とは思えない異形の怪物の群れ。
恐怖と混乱により薄れかけた意識は、剣戟の音と怪物の断末魔により、すぐさま引き戻される。
