Description

Race for the Galaxy is a strategy boardgame where players advance their empire by playing cards to build technological developments or to settle planets. Its core mechanic is a phase choosing game. Players secretly and simultaneously determine which one of seven phases they will lock in, all reveal at once, then execute the phases in order. Will you build an engine to ramp up VP generation on cheapo production planets? Will you invest in exploration and settle rare and valuable VP rich planets? Or will you rush a military conquest to cut off your opponents before they have a chance to develop their strategy.

4 ★Great digital implementation, but the expansions are fairly expensive and difficult to figure out. I wish there were expansion tutorials, especially for RvI, because I can't figure out how to use Prestige tokens for enhancing actions. It says in the rules to double tap; it doesn't work.

5 ★I've played the card game for some time now, first because a friend showed up one day with it on our game nights and later I bought it for myself.. Finding it on digital version for the cellphone was one of the most exciting things to happen this week... Since my friend moved away some time back I haven't played as often as before and now I can play anywhere, anytime

4 ★Great game, some frustrating UI issues. Lack of zoom/pan is annoying. Cards often move around while you are trying to drag them. I very frequently accidentally place or discard the wrong card. If it is a free placement then there is no confirmation dialogue which means I have had countless games ruined. A simple undo the last action button or ensuring that all placements and payments (even if free) required confirmation would fix this.

1 ★I used to enjoy this app a whole lot more when the notifications used to work on my pixel. But since an update a few months ago, i don't receive any more notifications. i play with several people at the same time, and there lack of notifications is really killing the momentum. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times, as well as toggling the notification switch off and on. I would give it a 5 stars, but not while it's in the current state.

2 ★Would really like to delve into this game... seemed interesting on my phone but it was too small to play comfortably without eye strain. I was really looking forward to playing on my Samsung tablet but it turns out it is unplayable on newer screens due to restrictions on supported resolutions. Since my tablet hasn't any options for resolution adjustments, this game is a no go for me. Two stars for a bit of fun on my phone before the eye strain took hold.

5 ★amazing! so much fun! feels so much like the real life game. great UI. having multiple games at once is great. love the 7 day lobby feature. some friends cant sit and play a game all at once so its nice to pick it back up a couple hrs later. will def buy the expansions too!! one of my favourite games of all time

5 ★Played the card game for a few years ago. Just found this digital version and its perfect. Very good multiplayer implementation (but more options for time limit wouldn't hurt (like, 10 min, 30 min, 24h ). Is there away to enable this on steam after I have bought the android version without paying twice?

5 ★True to the board game. Plays flawlessly. AI pretty good, definite increments in different levels

5 ★One of the best programmed games in the store. Looks beautiful and has wonderful depth. Once You understand the complex rules, it's easy to play. Good AI. Worth the money for such a unique and entertaining card game.

5 ★Awesome implementation of the card game. Definitely helps to learn playing the physical game first. I still prefer playing the physical version solo but this is a great option when I can't play it physically.
