4 ★Hmm... I'm not really fond of cooking games and adventure just to get ingredients, I would totally love to have a refund but I might play this sooner or later. I haven't tried the original game "Story Bar something...", and clueless to see what will I be playing with. It would seem I lack the motivation to play this at the moment. I couldn't play this with 4.4.4 KitKat but I can play this with my 6.0 which is surprisingly average for a Tavern game.
5 ★The gameplay is pretty close to the NDS game Atelier Annie, which is a turn-base combat system. Since I play both the Rune Factory and Atelier franchise, this game was right up my alley. It was a biy frustrating at first, but there are some guides on the recipes which is an overall importance to this game. I'm not fond of in-game purchases for a game I fully paid for, but if you managed your funds you shouldn't need to pay extra. Good story and the bgm is quite nice.
5 ★EDIT: Devs fixed the loading issue. Good game, worth the price. If you like food-based games and JRPG this is it. Coco the mascot is darn adorable. Overall gameplay reminds me of Atelier, and Rune Factory. Touchpad movement gets stuck occasionally, but it can get fixed by switching to joystick mechanics and back again if touchpad is preferred. PS: King Crabs keep landing "Decapitate" that I just facepalm every time I have to revive 😂 DROP THAT INGREDIENT ALREADY OH DEAR MOB 😂 stalling for ingredients ahahahaha...
5 ★PLEASE! Make more games like this. Tje strong point of this game lies in it's casual genre, so while at it why not make more side story-driven character quests? Or you can develop the farming/fishing systen to be more interactive. Maybe add crafting too? Anyway I'm really in love with this kind of games and I'll definetely buy more of your product of this kind of games
1 ★Mindless repetitive grinding. The gameplay loop is Get ingredients -> Cook -> Sell. Selling is straight forward, based on dishes' price and popularity. Cooking is fun, figuring out which ingredients are needed for a certain dish. Getting ingredients is not fun. You go to an area, then proceed to go to the same spots to gather everyday. To make it worse, it has random encounters that gives no challenge and just wastes your time for some ingredient drops. Feels like a slog to play.
4 ★good game. it doesn't ask you to review 5 minutes into the game. it is nearly the exact same as adventure bar story (same gameplay, same recipies, same sprites, different story, locations and characters.) however I liked adventure bar story but not it's story so much. I like tavern story more and it feels like a better game. I'd have liked to maybe see more additions but it's alright with what it has. also the main character has smelly feet from adventuring all day so only 4 stars.
5 ★It's pretty awesome because it's a game like harvest moon and it has much more features. And I'd say running a tavern is more interesting than tending to a farm. So with that said, I can understand why it was longer than usual for kemco to release another title. I can tell much work was put into this.
5 ★FOR THE PRICE TAG... ITS WORTH IT. im a person that loves traditional jrpg's and this is very cool. knowing that it is from kemco x radeon japan, you will get the feeling of old rpg way back from 90's to early 2000. the graphics are kind of like n64 paired up with cute character sprites. the cooking system are very much the same with radeons 1st game "adventure bar story". the battle system will give u the nostalgia of early "atelier" games. ill really recommend this for jrpg lovers like me.
3 ★I love this game but since I changed my cellphone to a pixel 3a the game is skippy while walking around... Makes it really uncomfortable to look at... Feels like it's running at 10 fps... When I'm standing it goes back to full frames per second... Everything around moves normally with smooth frame rate. But as soon as I start walking again the frames drop horribly.
3 ★This feels like an asset flip of Adventure Bar Story despite being done by the same group. The translation can be confusing, the contrast between the avatars vs. the environment unsettling, especially when you look at the idle animations for squids. But on the upside, the microtransaction currency is given to you via battles in a trickle and you are given a lump sum at the start. The controls take a little getting used to as well, but the pad helps for when you don't want to walk.
5 ★This is an interesting gem! Much different in them from your standard save the world theme. The story is actually pretty charming to me and the character cast is unique in their stories and add to the theme of creating and cooking. It can get a little repetitive, but i would be lying if I didn't say running that tavern and getting supplies was not addicting and fun, while fighting bosses and exploring new places. WELL worth playing!
3 ★Um so I noticed this problem has happened for many people, and recently has happened to me too. The loading screen is at 2/100 and I spent a lot of time that redoing it would be pointless... I hope you can fix this soon, and thank you for your time
