5 ★This is SO easy and SO useful and you're never going to spend under $4 for such return on investment again! In Windows-land I use Presonus Studio One and Reaper, and am used to complicated settings and the beauty of J4T is how simple and foolproof it is. I wonder out loud to suggest to developer to have the latency check as the first thing that shows up on a new device, because it's incredibly sad to see the recent review where its called junk, yet it's SO easy to set the latency properly. I've had a blast recording acoustic guitar with headphones into my Android phone. The quality has been better than I expected once I bring the files into my computer's DAW. I also beta test for one of the best audio noise reduction suites and thought this would be a lot noisier than it is. But with a headphones, closed ear buds the other tracks won't bleed into the main one. If I find faults they're noting really. The left arrow to get to the settings screen is always close to the fader and screws it up, but that's minor. And like others here I wonder what the metronome could do as well. I love the idea of recording the metronome to one track, because that would make it a LOT easier to sync this once you brought it back to a major DAW to work around. My favorite Android is a $9.99 Best Buy Huawei with no SIM in my area and the microphone CAN sound pretty good! Experiment! In conclusion, this is the best at what it does, and I feel so strongly that this is my first review ever for anything Google :-) I emailed the guy and he's real cool too. Cheers bro!
5 ★turns any android device into a fantastic sketchpad for songwriters and other musicians. intuitive layout and design. great feature set to do rough demos. effects are so-so in quality and don't have great parameters but still useful (just be subtle and creative with them)! very thoughtfully designed app. works great in my songwriting workflow. now if android can get its latency issues resolved...!
4 ★A lot of times with guitar players the older amplifiers from the 50s 60s and so on had a quirkiness to them a special Magic for some reason the Android this j4 track has a much more human ,q one day I sat down with my nylon string acoustic and did a little bit up a funeral song and to this day people compliment me . Asking me things like what preamps and what Reverb algorithms. Right now I'm grabbing my acoustic and recording an Elton John song straight to the Android and sending it to her.
5 ★Love the app, but would be nice to be able to import a song, so i can add my own tracks to it. Tried putting an MP3 into the J4T Media folder, but app won't see it. Update: Thanks! That works! Perhaps an import option on the Main Menu would be a little more intuitive? Just a thought for a future update. :) Added 2 stars!
5 ★I have been looking for an app exactly like this for years, just a simple 4 track (with a bank of effect plug-ins) in my pocket. I have tried a lot of recording apps out, and this is definitely the best. A very simple interface, easy to use, and depending on the quality of the mic on your device, you can quickly achieve some pretty good results. It's not trying to be cubase, nor is it a gimmick, it just does what it says on the tin. 10 out of 10.
5 ★Hi there. Every time I try to over dub a second or third track, no matter what headphones I'm using, the track plays through one side and when I hit playback. Everything is out of time with the original take. I could understand but I'm playing along to a click track. Any advice on how I overcome this? Many thanks. Jim.

5 ★Cant praise this too highly because it does what it says.....its a 4 track recorder designed to make quick recording of ideas etc easy. It also allows import of tracks to record along with AND the mix down and export, OR export each track seperatley.....what more do you need for a few quid.... plus the feedback from the developer is amazing. It does not pretend to be a professional studio Some have complained about the editing etc but come on people its not trying to be Pro tools. 10 stars...
5 ★I bought this a couple years back and its the one app i keep coming back to. tons of useful features (like a place for lyrics!) and plainly, it just does what it says it'll do. it works, period. that's not common for music apps. definitely worth the $
5 ★Very Good app, but you need to improve the audio quality, its a bit sound poor or with a bit low/killing imported audio quality, *"this only the one with a good ear can understand that."* Number 2,at leat you should add the stereo master output track (out of those for tracks)..For a bit of final mastering output and souping the work.. Else, its a very good ideal,we wish you all the way up!..
3 ★Why j4t can not monitor recording with earphone? If the audio is recorded badly, nothing you can do or edit after you have record it! How can you make sure it is recorded clearly without monitor it by earphone? App in google play in android platform also have the ability to do it like mp3 recorder or fl studio mobile. Please fix & upgrade it!
5 ★I had difficulty getting this app to work at first however the developer was amazingly helpful coaching me through. For a small price it's truly a nice app.
