Description

High quality media player supporting USB audio DACs and HiRes audio chips found in the latest phones. Play up to any resolution and sample rate that the DAC supports! All popular and less popular formats are supported (beyond the formats that Android supports), including wav, flac, mp3, m4a, wavpack, SACD ISO, MQA and DSD.

This app is a must-have for every audiophile, bypassing all audio limits of Android. Whether you use our custom developed USB audio driver for USB DACs, our HiRes driver for internal audio chips or the standard Android driver, this app is one of the highest quality media players around.

Since version 5, the app now includes a MQA Core Decoder (in-app purchase required). MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) is an award-winning British technology that delivers the sound of the original master recording. The master MQA file is fully authenticated and is small enough to stream or download, while also being backward compatible. The TIDAL streaming service supported by USB Audio Player PRO features many tracks in MQA and offers a great opportunity to experience MQA.

The MQA decoder will unfold the MQA stream from 44.1/48kHz to 88.2/96 kHz and can also be combined with USB DACs that feature a MQA renderer (e.g. AudioQuest DragonFly / iFi) for further unfolding to even higher sample rates.
Please visit http://mqa.co.uk for more information about MQA and https://www.extreamsd.com/index.php/mqa to read more about MQA inside the app.

Features:
• Plays wav/flac/ogg/mp3/MQA/DSD/SACD ISO/aiff/aac/m4a/ape/cue/wv/etc. files
• Supports almost all USB audio DACs
• Plays natively up to 32-bit/768kHz or any other rate/resolution your USB DAC supports by completely bypassing the Android audio system. Other Android players are limited to 16-bit/48kHz.
• Utilizes HiRes audio chips found on many phones (LG V series, Samsung, OnePlus, Sony, Nokia, DAPs etc.) to play HiRes audio at 24-bit without resampling! Bypasses the Android resampling limits!
• Free MQA decoding and rendering on the LG V30/V35/V40/V50/G7/G8 (not G8X)
• DoP, native DSD and DSD-to-PCM conversion
• Toneboosters MorphIt Mobile: improve the quality of your headphones and simulate over 700 headphone models (in-app purchase required)
• Folder playback
• Play from a UPnP/DLNA file server
• UPnP media renderer and content server
• Network playback (SambaV1/V2, FTP, WebDAV)
• Stream audio from TIDAL (HiRes FLAC and MQA), Qobuz and Shoutcast
• Gapless playback
• Bit perfect playback
• Replay gain
• Synchronized lyrics display
• Sample rate conversion (if your DAC doesn't support the audio file's sample rate, it will be converted to a higher sample rate if available or the highest if not available)
• 10-band equalizer
• Software and hardware volume control (when applicable)
• Upsampling (optional)
• Last.fm scrobbling
• Android Auto
• No root required!

In-app purchases:
* Advanced parametric EQ from effect vendor ToneBoosters (around €1.99)
* MorphIt headphones simulator (around €3.29)
* MQA Core decoder (around €3.49)
* Feature pack containing UPnP control client (stream to a UPnP renderer on another device), stream from Dropbox and add tracks from a UPnP file server or Dropbox to the Library

Warning: this is not a generic system-wide driver, you can only playback from within this app like any other player.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★The bit perfect mode is excellent, just great audio quality. There's a critical weakness though, which is that it can't shuffle. The "shuffle" mode is really a random mode, as it'll play the same song 5 times and then never play some songs even once. Shuffle is literally on every single app on every single platform I've ever used, yet this app doesn't have it. Quite a shame.
2 ★I really want to like this app -- I do. I have an LG phone with the Quad DAC, so I loved that this music player has the ability to make better use of it and deliver higher quality sound. On that score it delivers. The problem is that everything else about this app is subpar. The UI is lousy. It has zero ability to sync. More importantly, it is loaded with weird bugs that impact your entire phone. If you are not using the app, you absolutely have to kill it or it does all sorts of wonky things like start playing after you get a phone call. Or sometimes, it will prevent you from answering any calls. Realistically, you need to reboot your phone every time you are done using it, or the results will be unpredictable. I have tried living with it for the sound quality, but it finally got too annoying. Shame really because this could be a 5 star app.
5 ★Been using this app for almost 4 years now, and it's a beast! Paired with my Fiio M11, it's perfect. Many of the features the Fiio player lacks are here, and it sounds glorious. *Please please please add a Crossfade option with a range similar to how Spotify has theirs. This feature is sorely missed while shuffling a large library or playlist. Also would like to see the ability to search through playlists for quick edits and reference. The playlist slider on the right needs help too. 😊
4 ★My Dragonfly Cobalt was making strange sounds before, but the drivers in this app fixed it. I think it is worth it for the drivers alone. The user interface is pretty basic, but works well. My biggest issue I have is the lack of multi-artist support. Rather than attribute a track to each artist in the tag, the combined tag counts as a single artist in my library. This is an important feature to me, so I will stick to other apps when not using a DAC.
4 ★Mostly love the app but a few minor nitpicks 1. Would like a now playing option that blends the colors of the album art a bit better. Depending on the color scheme of an album, the current now playing screen can look quite ugly the way it just does a gradient fade into eachother. 2. When scrolling through artists, albums, ect, it often registers an unintended swipe from left to right causing a bit of frustration.
2 ★Please improve the UI of an otherwise perfect app. Some of the UI elements and settings are currently too convoluted to navigate. For example, why does swiping down on the player menu not hide it, but instead skips albums? An option to change the behaviour would be nice to see. Also I don't even need to mention how ugly the player UI can be. Removing the status bar shade and matching the navigation bar bg with that of the bottom tab bar would do wonders for improving the visuals.
4 ★I didn't think using UAPP with Qobuz would be all that different than using the Qobuz app, but I was very wrong about that. The sound is much more "alive" in UAPP, which might be due to it sending the stream directly to my external DAC (no Android sound processing). As a few others have stated, the menu organization and finding certain options can be a bit difficult. Otherwise very happy with the sound and the interface for the most part.
5 ★This is the best music app. Period. If you use a "Dongle DAC" or have a portable mid-fi or hi-fi DAP, this is realistically the only app worth using for local media. It has all the bells and whistles, and then some, compared to Neutron, but with a more modern UI, that could still be improved to compete with PowerAmp, but it's still a breath of fresh air.
5 ★This app is amazing for what I use it for. The only thing I would recommend for the developers, are to add a stop button. I connect to an external DAC, that usually turns itself off after playback is stopped. Sometimes this fails to happen when using this app. Leaving the DAC showing an incoming connection, even with my phone unplugged. This leaves me having to unplug my DAC to reset it. Adding a stop button that would completley disconnect the connection would be a major upgrade. Love you guys though. Only app that allows for true DAC control through Android. Also the only app on mobile platforms that can access Tidals masterd files. Giving you access to 24bit high rise files that can be used for MQA with the right hardware connection. I hear it's not possible and tidal only allows it for desktop platforms. This app solves that issue and is a godsend for audio files.
5 ★Love the app. Only request I would have is when in Tidal and you click on an artist, it shows a snapshot of their most popular songs, but when you expand that list, it then shows them all in alphabetical order. I would like it to function like the official Tidal app and list the songs by popularity, or better yet, give us a choice of how it filters the tracks.
3 ★Not as good as Poweramp and more expensive. No ability to assign custom equalizer presets to a specific album. Switching between album view, track view, and equalizer view takes too many steps, and equalizer only stays on screen for only a few seconds which is extremely annoying when you're trying to fine tune it. The equalizer sliders are so small that you can't see where it is under your finger, which makes fine tuning extremely frustrating. On the plus side, the sound quality is as good as Poweramp.
4 ★I'm mostly happy with the app. Only problem is you can't have single or double quotes in song titles. It causes the artist's name to be be repeated x number of times, x being the number of tracks an open quote is from a given song. This problem persists even when the quotes are closed. This only a general observation. I'm just reviewing in hopes the devs fix what is probably an easy bug. Will rate 5 stars once fixed. 8/2022 edit Still see artist's names multiple times. Plz fix.
