4 ★This app certainly helps to improve violin sight reading and makes you memorize the notes in a short time. There are many etude books in music shops but there is none to help with sight reading. This app fills that gap. However there is no way to reset the counters to check progress. This is very much needed. Also the duration of different notes is varying. This is a bit annoying. When position is enabled the finger board moves to the right and the E-string disappears. Else I would have given 5 stars.

5 ★I personally found this a really helpful app. As a violin teacher, I highly recommend this to beginners to get used to note positions and consistent accuracy of finger placement. I really like progression stats i.e. the way the score tallies the total correct responses. Good for violin tutors as a learning check prior to, or even after practicing sight reading on a real violin. It's worth paying for the full unrestricted version.

1 ★After making the payment.. this thing does not install!

5 ★Finally making some progress. Its very hard to teach yourself to play violin without lessons. Hundreds of useless apps to sift through does not help SO DOWNLOAD THIS

4 ★Will give 5 stars if you can isolate strings so you can work on fingerings on each string. Particularly useful for beginners ehen learning 1st finger notation on each string but maybe only learning D & A notes. Would be good if you could select strings to avoid unwanted notes coming up.

4 ★This is a nifty useful app except for part of the screen being unresponsive (I'm using the paid version) and no way to skip the question, either.

5 ★Found it useful, so I purchased it. My only wish is that there's a special "beginners mode" may be in the 1st position where the fingerboard is slightly larger in "common phones". Then we can actually use the left hand fingers to 'press the strings'. Of course the open strings are still there. But still a proper size spacing would be fantastic.

5 ★I like the simplicity and ease of use! Really helpful in helping me to learn read the notation, especially when I don't have my violin on hand.

4 ★Sometimes finger placement seems slightly off but otherwise really good to refresh ureself if not played for a while.

5 ★Sight reading using the violin fingerboard for user input. Great idea!

4 ★Would be nice if you could hide the notes on the violin for the ones you aren't working on. I am working on third position and don't want to get the notes confused with first position. Would be nice if you could choose to disable the count of correct vs wrong. . Would be amazing if you could choose third or first position and hold it in your left hand and tap the screen just as if it had been a real violin. Love the app otherwise.
