Description

LingoBrain is both a game which helps you learn the vocabulary of the Irish language, as well being an offline English - Irish dictionary with over 7500 words.

• Train and build your vocabulary using multiple choice questions.

• Unique machine learning algorithms enable LingoBrain to learn as you play, and target your personal weaknesses to specifically improve them. The more often you play the better LingoBrain gets to know you, and the more effectively it can help you learn.

• Waiting at a bus stop, or at the doctor's office? How about comfortably learning 5 new Irish words while you wait?

• No tedious typing or superfluous clicking around.

• Create a list of personal favourite words.

• 7500 Irish - English terms sorted into 4 difficulty levels (Easy, Middle, Hard & Expert) based on how often they're used by native speakers, and thus how important.

• Search/Filter for any word in the lists.

• Offline (no internet connection required) Irish-English dictionary with over 7500 words.

• Dynamically show/hide example sentences.

• Sort lists as desired (based on last answer, rating, alphabetically, favourite etc.).

• Train your passive and active vocabulary. Dynamically switch the language from which questions are chosen (and thereby the language from which the correct answer must be chosen).

No more need to use flashcards or scribble on vocabulary lists. Let LingoBrain do the organisation and keep score for you on your smartphone or tablet, whenever and wherever you have a few moments to spare.

Start with the Easy Level and work your way up. Stop after you've gotten about 10 questions wrong. Review the correct answers if you wish. Then replay the game and LingoBrain will automatically ask you those questions first you got wrong (most often). Mark any questions as favourites as you play.

Learn Irish the clever way and train your Lingo Brain.

Note: This app is free and fully functional, but only comes with a limited number of questions installed by default - enough so that you can try it out and see if you like it. If you want more questions you can purchase Level Packs within the game.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

4 ★After only 2 games i think this is a fantastic resource! Great for learners at all levels to learn new vocab& sample sentences. Overall a great resource and looking forward to getting the additional language packs for the app! A few more games in the different categories first! This should be a 4.7 to near 5 *! 1 minor gripe being an option for changing the canúint for pronunciation? It sounds like Munster pronunciation ...ach b'fhearr liom canúint uladh faraor... ;) Also needs an FAQs pg.
3 ★How do you install more categories?
2 ★It gives you the Easy level for free but wants you to pay for all the other levels. I hate scams like this. Also I did the food section- not real hard to pick the right answer when it gives you one food word and two non-food words
1 ★This is a Duolingo/Memrise ripoff, but with very bad audio files. The audio was also ripped from sites like Duolingo, Teanglann and Forvo. Avoid at all costs and stick with Duolingo or Memrise!
5 ★It is well worth getting this app if you are studying Irish. Due to the way it is set up you find you are learning new words without even realizing it. Most of the words even have vocalisations by native speakers and there are loads of categories to choose from when playing. Well worth getting.
1 ★The audio example feature upside-down! Look, the use of English letters with Irish can generate confusion as it is, since the way in which they are used can differ wildly, but you sure as Hell don't make the learner stare at something that may be quite confusing, and then give them the audio pronunciation example AFTER they have gone onto the next word. Dumb. The developers suggest this app is for basic vocabulary drill. Use DuoLingo with Rosetta Stone or online courses from DCU instead.
2 ★This app is probably good to review skills or test your ability on a different app. But it doesn't teach you. If you don't already know the words you're just guessing for each word which sucks. If you learned on other platforms this is probably a great way to expand your learning and pick up some extra vocab
4 ★I would find it beneficial to hear the word that comes up instead of after answering. Big delay in audio when trying to hear the word after answering. I had to constantly Google pronunciation of words which made it frustrating. Maybe it's my phone but the dictionary failed to load. Now, despite the difficulties. This app got me working to learn more words and work on pronunciation regardless of having to YouTube and Google them. The app is great overall but frustrating to new speakers
5 ★7000 words is really the mark in any language, and LingoBrain has that in their Irish & Spanish apps, without terrifying app permissions. Now they just need a Japanese app... when, when, when?
1 ★Tried to use the dictionary but nothing happens.
