Udruga Radio Marija BiH je osnovana 24. rujna 2009. godine. U rujnu 2010. godine dobila je radijsku koncesiju za Banja Luku i Sarajevo. Emitiranje programa Radio Marije je prvi put ostvareno 08. prosinca 2010. godine. Sjedište joj je u Sarajevu, a svoju podružnicu ima u Mostaru. Udruga Radio Marija upisana je u Registar udrugâ, i ima pravo djelovati na cjelokupnom području BiH. Veliku potporu projektu Radio Marije dali su nadbiskup vrhbosanski, Vinko kardinal Puljić, biskup banjolučki, mons. dr. Franjo Komarica te biskup Ratko Perić. Zbog kršćana koji su u BiH u manjini, volontera nema mnogo, ali oni koji su tu, odgovorno se prihvate misije.
