Description
MultiSneS16 is a variant of Snes9x open source emulator that lets you play classic games with your friends via LAN network or Online (requires logging in using a Social Network account, no third-party apps needed). This app supports hassle-free online multiplayer without any manual setup or opening network ports.FEATURES:
- Offline Single-player mode.
- LAN & Wifi Direct & Online Multiplayer mode. It is consistent, has no de-syncing problems like traditional scheduled synchronization method. And it supports long distance (cross-countries) connections. However, the gameplay quality will depend on your network connection's speed.
- Invite others to play Online using a Social Network account.
- There are also online Public Servers created by users that can be joined by anyone.
- Text chat when playing Multiplayer.
- Supports saving & loading game' states, even when playing multiplayer (on host side only).
- Supports cheats, even in multiplayer mode.
- Supports both hardware controllers and virtual/on-screen/touch based controller.
- Editable virtual buttons' layout.
- Full screen display mode.
- This emulator is powered by the open source Snes9x core.
NOTES:
- Location permission is required for Wifi Direct multiplayer mode. Without it, 2nd player cannot find the 1st player who created the network game session.
- The app doesn't come with any games. You have to copy roms to your device's sdcard. Their locations will be detected automatically by the app itself. Both .zip, .smc, .sfc, and .swc files are accepted.
- When playing multiplayer, second player is not required to have the game roms in his/her devices, it is only required for the first player (i.e. the host).
- To reduce lag during multiplayer, place your devices as close as possible to each other and to the Router/Access Point.
- Alternatively, using Wifi Direct option if your device supports it.
- Playing over Internet consumes quite a lot of bandwidth which is roughly 60-100 KB per second.
- The one hosting the game through Internet is required to have the minimum upload speed around 60 KB/s (512 Kbps).
- If you encounter severe lags, sometimes a simple router or both players' device's wifi restart might help.
- There are some routers that don't support direct Internet multiplayer hosting due to their Firewall settings. If it is the case, the app will attempt to use relay server to relay data between 2 players, though the bandwidth will be limited if relay server is used by too many people. If relay server still fails, you will probably see "Remote connection timeout or disconnected" message popped up on guest player side. You can try to switch roles, i.e. guest becomes host and vice versa. If we are lucky, the new host's router will allow the connection between two players.

4 ★The emulator is great to play SNES games online with other players, but please improve the gameplay quality for guest (2P) and to let it use less data like other online apps and also, add a local multiplayer option so that it can play multiplayer on the same device, I tried connecting 2 controllers but it reads as the same player, please fix those problems, besides that its great.
5 ★This has potential to be the best in the shop! I have three gripes though: there is no way to change save locations, scanline/crt filters are only vertical lines with no horizontal option, and the auto search needs to be used again after the first time to get all of my games.
3 ★Emulation is as expected for Snes9x, but adding games is convoluted if they are in a zip file on an SD card. I can access my zipped rom files only if I manually select them, but the "search for games" never finds them on it's own and retries the search EVERY time I try to play single or multiplayer. Just let me pick the rom directory and skip the flawed search please.
3 ★This is actually better Snes9x Ex. Just need a way to sort your favorite games and play them with out scrolling down the entire library of snes games I have on my SD card. Works well with my bluetooth video game controller, no lag and the sound and graphics are better than a SNES classic console.
5 ★Best snes emulat ever! It had a good amount of settings, a clean and crisp HUD and the local multiplayer works wonderfully! I play with my brothes all the time and its great! I definitely recommend it and also think its a good idea to tip the developer too. No ads are included and there are no hidden fees.

5 ★I think the emulator works very good but sometimes lag, but you should do some updating for the lag problems. And you should make some more emulators like n64 and nds because there are some many good multiplauer games like smash bros mario kart mario and sonic at olympic games and lots of hacks. Keep up the good and please make those emulators.
4 ★I think its a great emulator plus it has online multiplayer though the multiplayer is laggy sometimes besides that the sound and graphics sound and look the same as the snes, the controls in multiplayer are fine but not perfect it is a pretty good emulator overall. The reason i rate it 4 stars is because the single player is good enough but the fact that it has multiplayer is crazy it isn't perfect though, i hope you keep trying to fix multiplayer
5 ★Pretty good tbh. A lil lag during online matches but its fine when you know what you're doing in the game.
5 ★Works great! You dont even need for both players to have the rom. No lag. Well i played with someone random in europe while im in U.S. and we had issues but it is expected and i think he had a bad phone. Ive seen no lag when my LG V40 hosts but ive seen it act fishy with my LG K10.
4 ★Excellent controls and game compatibility. But there is a lot of distortion in the audio. And it needs support for more shaders and fliters like 6xbrz. Also the ability to change the positions of the buttons on screen, and not just the orientation, would be very much appreciated.
3 ★Some years ago I used to play a snes battlenet version for pc that ran incredibly nice and smooth, it felt like playing with people on the same machine! For some reason it stopped working.This app is a great idea but most games lag so much and become unplayable. I hope it keeps improving. Playing these games on mobile plus multiplayer with a good performance would make of this the best app ever.
