4 ★Good app. Does app hiding good, could be improved with additional capabilities. I'm review this only in reference to the free version capabilities. I thought I was going to be able to hide the icon but you cannot. I don't see any photo edit or crop capabilities. That means you have to do all editing while leaving exposed the things you want to hide the most. However, after placing your photos in the vault they stop showing up in other apps. Things like recently added files. Developer responds🙂
4 ★I haven't been able to get in for a few days now. At first it would kick me out when I'm entering my pin and tell me error. Now i enter my password and it says wrong pin. I only use this pin so I am 100% sure it's this pin something is wrong with the app atm.I want my pictures that are in there but I don't have access to it because of this problem. I just reinstalled it and entered my password and still the same thing happening.
3 ★In-app video recording does not record properly. Suppose you are recording an object and u see it in the centre of the screen when recording. On playback, the object appear on the left and smaller instead of centre. In short, what u see during rec is not what u get. Some bug in detecting camera parameters or video framing offset shifted?
5 ★Easy to use. This app encrypts your photos from your album and keeps them safe. It was also easy to extract the photos to transfer them when I got a new phone and back into the app. You also have the option to make albums within the app. No ads and easy to access quickly with passcode or biometrics.
1 ★This app aborts its decryption process as soon as the screen turns off. Any file currently being decrypted while this happens seems to break and ist lost forever. Tried move all my files from PhotoGuard to my normal gallery. Process took a while, screen turned off eventually. When I noticed that and turned it back on, only 40 of 500 files had been decrypted. One of the decrypted files was corrupted and unreadable/unplayable. I went to look for it in my PhotoGuard Gallery, but it was already gone! Now it seems like it's lost forever. I contacted support already
3 ★When too many images or videos get loaded as thumbnails, it is as if the bandwidth for content fills up and all animated aspects such as videos and gifs lag so bad. Please have better ram and cache usage/clearance especially for viewing full screen! Also auto play and loop videos. Also recognise hidden folders/albums and erase/overwrite origin file.
1 ★Sick of the ads when I want to show my friends a picture I want to show them a picture, I don't want to show them ads. Response to developer No I move some pics to another folder to show them that folder and I get constant adds. I'm moving pictures of dead relatives and it is indeed "very intrusive" to have some scam site site come up. Anyhow f#$k off your app is deleted.
5 ★So far this app is excellent, I have tried loads of similar apps and all have come up short, some have way to many ads and others lack basic features like being able to scroll through your photos like in your phone photo gallery and being able to orientate your photos in landscape and portrait.. This app does all this and works nice and fast and is simple to use. Good that you can add different folders for different selections of photos to... Best app of its kind I've tried by Miles...
5 ★After using the supposed best I was very unhappy that all I was doing was watching advertisements. This app has some advertisements but has equal lockdown ability as the supposed best and is more manipulable plus the support is amazing. The free version has some options missing but it has a good basic usability. After a few option upgrades they are currently working on, I will switch to the purchase version.
3 ★App is great at what it does but the camera shutter sound drives me absolutely insane. If you're not careful and your media volume is up even slightly it will make an obnoxiously loud shutter sound when you take a picture. If there was a way to toggle this (or just completely remove it) I would update to five stars.
2 ★Awful, I switched phones and forgot my password and I couldn't reset it when I wanted to because you for some reason need to approve password recovery before hand in the app. I've contacted customer support but they sent me a code and didn't tell me what to do with it. Its incredibly frustrating.
5 ★Great app. Very clean UI with no extra fluff and easy to set up authentication methods. Exactly what these kinds of apps should be like. Encryption can take a while depending on how big or how many files you have, but can quickly be decrypted when needed.
