A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Version 1.1.2 MOSTLY worked on my Hisense M470BSA tablet, Android 4.2.1, but no live view, no view on screen except camera settings at bottom, no shutter release in bulb mode (?), uninstalled 1.1.2, and tried to install 2.0.1 "Your device isn't compatible with this version. No way to revert to old version, at least it worked a little, now gone. You're moving backwards, Ricoh. Installed ver. 2.0.1 on LG VS425PP phone, android 5.1.1, tried to connect to camera, and there's NO CONNECT BUTTON, like it's off the bottom of the screen! STOP MESSING guys, this is ridiculous! Put back the oldest (partially) WORKING version, will ya? I can't even find where to inform Ricoh of the problem on the support page! Trying to sell more remotes or something? I love my K70, but I sure am glad it hasn't needed repair if this is how you act! And I STILL cant find where to buy the K70 AC adapter (K-AC168?) in the US.
1 ★This app has a lot of potential. But right now it has trouble transferring photos, taking pictures is limited to single shots (can't do intervals). I wish and hope they Ricoh will identify the fact that the world uses SmartPhone for everything and this app could make a world of a difference for their customer base and beyond.
1 ★This is by far the worst app I've used. Not only was it slow and clunky before updates, it now refuses to connect to my Pentax KS-2 on a Pixel 2 XL. Ricoh really don't seem to care about their Pentax division. It's 2018 - you need a solid app! This has cemented my decision to sell my Pentax and get a Canon. Will recommend you stay away from Pentax.
4 ★Having read a previous review by BJ I turned off the smart network function on my phone which always looks for an internet connection and thus stabilised the link. Still need the S2 to work though. I've found how to connect without re-entering the password but RAW transfers are too slow and, even though I have a large SD card in my phone, I can't divert the download on to it. Please add the ability to specify the download folder to the app. If it worked with my Tab S2 I'd give it the full 5 *.
1 ★One would expect that Ricoh would test the software with Pentax K1. This software is not compatible with the camera, and camera keeps resetting the connection The App is unable to latch to the camera hotspot most of the time, and if it does, it crashes after one picture. Not compatible with Android v.9, but it has more luck with non-compatible (according to Ricoh) v.5.01.
1 ★App used to work fine for my Pentax KP and Android mobile. For the last week, I can connect wirelessly to the camera from my phone, but cannot see any of the photos on the camera - the thumbnails are all black - and I cannot download any photos either. Remote control is also unavailable! The app often hangs as well. As things stand, the app is useless!
5 ★Simple to connect; was able to view pics from the camera, xfer one to the phone, and use the app as a remote to trigger the shutter. After app install, I turned on wifi on my K-70, connected to it from the app using the password shown under the K-70 settings, and it worked. Note: I normally leave data off on my HTC One M8, because it can conflict with wifi by choosing data over wifi in some cases (and the phone can then behave like there is no wifi connection).
4 ★This app is excellent when it works, which is sometimes. The ability to transfer raw files is brilliant, if somewhat time-consuming. It would be fantastic to have the app be able to store or remember the SSID and password for one or more cameras, as typing in the password every time is slow and annoying.
2 ★This app has stopped working with the latest so called improved version. I use Android 7.1.2 SO, IT TURNS OUT I now have to have Bluetooth turned on on my phone (I normally have it off as default - would be good if they told me this is now necessary). Also, it turns out I have to connect to the camera's WiFi before opening ImageSync app (the app used to do the connect for me - would also be good if they told me this is now necessary). If I do these two things, the app will load. Otherwise not.
1 ★Awful software. Took me half an hour of experimentation to establish a connection. Android and the app interfer with each other. Moreover, contrary to what the manual suggests, the Bluetooth connection seems to be used only to automatically set up the Wifi connection and has no purpose beyond that.
1 ★At first it worked for transfering photos and for the live camera smart link. With file transfers as soon as my device would shut off the connection would fail and it would stop, kind of annoying but I just made sure my device stayed on. As it went on something changed and everytime I go to hit the download button the app just crashes. This thing needs some serious work.
1 ★Ricoh would need to consider just developing a straight app just for camera remote function and real time tethering. Image transferring interface is taking too much resources from the camera and cost tremendous time to "sync" the thumbnails of those large files. Focus peaking or ability to blow up image to check focus on phone would be nice . This sluggish app cost a lot of pain to use. I use Pentax K1 with this app
