** We use the best voice recognition services in the market, yet this technology has some limitations. when voice is clear fluent and there are no background noises the system can achieve more then 80% WER (word errors), however when there are background noises or music it can get to much less then that and to short breaks in the transcription. we are working constantly to improve this.
** Exported video quality -
AutoCap aims to keep the original's video format and quality, it always keeps the original resolution (unless exported resolution is changes - from landscape to square ect.).
Videos might be compressed if the exporting device does not let app to render in the same quality as the original video
- AutoCap does not support video's that are beyond the user's device GPU's ability to render the video (some devices have trouble with rendering high resolution 4K videos, usually the ones that are created on other devices or edited by another software)
this App is built for social media video and mostly selfie talking head videos, it can work for other types of video's but it's not what it's intended for. the App wont give good results for musical video's or for high resolution videos intended for screening on large screens

5 ★- good graphic options and ability to add texts with timing controls BUT whats the point if at the end you are not able to save the final product to your device. It asked for restart, didnt resolve. It says memory issue, i have 10+gb open - email sent to mentioned email id..been almost 2 weeks, no response back - ok well, i retried and it finally worked, was able to save it. Hence the rating changed from 1 to 5
3 ★This app is really great, and gets most of the words. But after about 2 minutes (in my 3 minutes movie) it wouldn't let me access the keyboard to change the words anymore. It also would randomly shoot me back to the main page and I'd have to start all over again. If these issues are fixed I'm happy to give it 5 stars
3 ★works ok, little glitchy. getting a message now that says, "missing decoder, saving video might take longer", but it doesnt save the video at all. Tried multiple videos, different formats, compressed and original, but no luck... please help!
3 ★Does what its supposed to, although not as good as the Clips app on iOS. Im hoping this app will be in direct competition with the Clips app and improve. BTW where are the in app purchase buttons? Time line drag bugs out during playback when editing a line. Speed of text cannot be fine tuned to match talking speed exactly.
5 ★Updated Reviw: I'm impressed how fast they responsd to my review. I was mistaken about moving the text. It's super easy! I would have given it a 4, but yhe super fast help makes it a 5. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This app works okay. While it does caption, it doesn't caption for all social media, as tiktok caption placement is covered.
4 ★Installed this last night, & for a free app, is impressive. Noticed there hasn't been a review for 2or3 years, so I thought I'd do one. I've given 4 stars because everythings got room for some improvement. Would be nice if this app had the ability to adjust the opacity of the background colour, & a couple more text choices would be welcomed. I find that the odd word seems to be missed out of the auto captions too Overall a very nice app, and one I'll continue to use (as long as it remains free)
5 ★Simple and effective captioning tool, very good teleprompter, although I'd be happy if you can pause the recording, and continue from any point along the text. cheaper than all the competitors that I have checked and at least as good. I recommend
1 ★As a QA engineer (and a paying customer of this app), I'm telling you, this is the WORST USER EXPERIENCE i have ever encountered. UI is terrible, and difficult to get a hang off, but even when you figure out how it works, the app frequently doesn't remember the changes you made (text, placement, timing), and even changes them along the way, meaning if you change something and it appears to be in the right place, when you replay the video, it is moved to a random spot on the screen.
1 ★What is this called? theft or... I was using the free version and it worked fine for ten seconds and created the subtitles, but when I bought the paid version it stopped working and said there is an internet problem.
1 ★I downloaded this cause it made me think it could TRANSLATE. It literally just put captions on. Translating to English it literally just put what it SOUNDED like in English. Bunch of bs
