A Rádio Alternativa e Comunicação de Passos foi inaugurada em 24 de dezembro de 1989, por Vivaldo do Nascimento Piotto.
Desde a sua inauguração, a Rádio se consagrou pelas grandes promoções, pela programação diversificada e pelo carisma dos locutores, que sempre foi e ainda é o ponto chave do sucesso da emissora.
