Thurst hopes to reshape and change the way we all view sex, gender, and sexuality. We ask users to consider how we share and express love. Thurst is decolonizing dating through broadening the idea of who deserves love and how love can be given and received online. We believe that love, both interpersonal and collective, requires justice - our aim is to make an online space where historically underrepresented and discriminated peoples can feel more seen, heard, and affirmed.Most dating platforms are trans-exclusive or not safe enough for marginalized members of the queer community. Through creating and continuing to develop Thurst, we hope to

3 ★From the time I heard of it, I was thrilled by the commitment to valuesalignment and conceptual reframing of this app, particularly by centeringPOC and having a gender expansive lens. I'm still excited by that, and assomeone not looking to use the app at this point in my life but definitelyto promote it, I am sadly disappointed by the highly limited functionalityof it at this point. We need to resource apps like this so they can meetthe needs and vision of our communities, esp since they are by ourcommunities.
1 ★Just some baffling design decisions. You can only upload one picture which gets cropped and can't be expanded. Can't set your location so I honestly can't tell if anyone is even in my dang state, let alone city. You can't enter a profile, which is bonkers. How in the world are you supposed to know if you're interested in chatting with a person with even a little blurb about them? All user information is hidden so you have to first tap to reveal it, which means just tons of photoless profiles you're expected to engage with just to see a single letter name and nothing else. Put this cookie back in the oven because it is absolutely not fully baked.
2 ★Really over simple and buggy. I was so excited for this app but I can'teven change my location or add more than one picture of myself - which getscropped automatically anyway. Needs to have so pretty big fixes done.
2 ★Very buggy and took so long to release! I have been waiting for this app for over a year and it is awful and totally a let down. Theres bugs so deep that nobody can even put where they are located at in their profile! Get some experienced developers and coders fast as this app is a great concept but the execution is horrible.
1 ★I've been looking forward to this for so long, months of waiting and emailing the developers to find out when it's going to be widely available, however, it's a disappointment. You get to the "Explorer" page before you can even modify your profile and if you click on the options button (three horizontal lines) in the top left, the app crashes immediately. So basically, you can't add details or pictures to your profile. It says "Double click to proceed", but double clicking passes by 2 profiles. What's more, you can't even swipe on the profiles. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed at both the final result, and the length of time it took to release it. The way an app should get released is by making it, beta-testing, then, when it is reasonably free of glitches, advertise the features with a clear release date. This was done completely backwards.
1 ★Age limit, I guess middle aged people are considered not deserving of love.My first direct experience with ageism wow! If you are born prior to 1970you cannot list your age accurately.

This is a hookup app, I'd liketo be able to verify that the folks I'd like to talk to aren't children...Also just being presented with the Explorer page and having people pop upfrom all over North America and not anywhere near me defeats the purpose ofa hookup app. Which... I cant even put my location in... I get you'retrying to make it look pretty but this app could be ugly as sin and i'd useit if it actually worked
4 ★This is exactly what I wanted, but it needs some seriously cultivation toto grow into a full functioning service. Pros: -Lots of cute gays -Enormousdiversity in genders, sexualiries etc -Easy access to send someone amessage -Doesn't mine you for all data you possess (I'm looking at you,POF) -Easy, fast setup -Good user agreement, minimum legalese, well laidout and helpful - Your stuff belongs to you, as of writing. They don'tclaim to own your pictures or data Cons: -Most users don't have picturesright now -Can only upload a single picture of yourself -Location can't beadded or turned on -No chance to say anything about what you're there orwhat you want. -No chance to talk about who you are -Need to swipe down toview a profile, then SINGLE click the picture to advance to the next. -Very little by way of help or explanations -dedinitely got an u wanted dickpic while looking at new profiles Page reporting fun tion doesn't seem tobe available yet :( Overall, even with all the problems or has, this betathe heck out of most other apps I've found just by its inclusivity alone.Another user described a problem with ageism, the birthday only going backto 1970. Otherwise it lets you describe yourself. Needs more users withpictures up. To that end, download it and use it! Put a picture up, too!Tell youre aueer friends! Even if it's not effective yet, we need todemonstrate demand to get it better. Go go go!

5 ★I am not personally gay but... I have a family member that is anunfortunately has difficulties with dating sites I write this review tosupport them and let then know such an app exists.
