Description
This year's Santa Parade will be transformed into a two-day Christmas Festival. A Very Welly Christmas 2016 is a weekend long Christmas celebration 10-11 December, closing Lambton Quay from Lambton Square to the Old Bank Arcade.Brought to you by Geo AR Games in collaboration with Wellington City Council, 'A Very Welly Christmas in Augmented Reality' adds another dimension to this years' festivities. The app will transform Lambton Quay around you, turning Wellington into a Windy, Winter Wonderland!
As you travel down Lambton Quay, look out for special decals in participating shop windows. scan these decals using the app to uncover secret puzzle pieces. Find all the pieces of the puzzle to reveal the complete Christmas image! There are many images to be found, the only question is time!
Additionally, there are fireworks to play with, a dancing, rockin' snowman trio - and watch out above for Santa's reindeer, out taking the sleigh for a ride in preparation for the big night!
The app will only be operational for the duration of the festival, from 11am Saturday 10 December until 6pm Sunday 11 December, and you will only be able to activate it near the festival location. Make sure you are on Lambton Quay between the old Bank Arcade and Midland Park.
