A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★No idea what they have done with this app since I last used it but I just installed it and now it asks for lots of permissions for unclear reasons and it also shows a permanent empty notification. The permanent notification is absolutely unacceptable for any app and doesn't even fill any function here what so ever since it's completely empty except for the app name. There are also nonsensical error messages displayed if you try to proceed without giving the app all permissions.
1 ★Tried relogin and apps still not detected. v 1.6.7 does not scrobble. I reinstalled and logged in and it will not even detect any supported music apps anymore even as music is playing from PowerAMP. What is going on? This app was working fine until about two weeks ago and was seemingly fixed until about 9/16, when this new update saw all the previous issues return. Please fix!
1 ★I've had this for years thinking it was scrobbling my music, but it turns out I forgot to re-enter my credentials at some point. My fault obviously, though I suppose a notification that I'm not logged in to anything when I start listening would be nice. Since noticing this I've tried to log in to last.fm and always get a network error. 4G, different WiFi networks, all the same.
5 ★This is a good app, I've used it for almost two years. But the only thing, the new updates erase any cached scrobbles. And after one updates, scrobbles don't automatically resume until one opens the app post update. Just make sure you scrobble before you update and open the app after you update so you don't lose any data.
1 ★It just doesn't work anymore. Always used it with Foobar2000 but by now nothing works at all. Sad because this used to scobble perfectly in the background...
1 ★Doesn't work at all anymore since this new update. Scrobbling new tracks just doesn't happen. Submitting tracks from an oldee session I hadn't submitted earlier won't work either which basically renders the app useless. Also new are questionable permissions allowing the app to read all of your notifications. Doesn't seem necessary at all. I somewhat understand the permission of excluding the app from the battery saver, but this wasn't necessary in older versions so why now?
4 ★I edited my initial three star review because most of the complains that I had were dealt with on the new update. The biggest one that I had was that some songs would not scrobble with Google Play Music. The new update also brought the amazing scrobbling rules, but I still have a few complains before the experience is perfect. Rules only to work for individual songs and having just artist/album in a rule should edit all scrobbles for that album. There should be a way to auto clear complete scrob
5 ★Works very well. The only nit I have is that the initial setup is a bit clunky in that the app has to "recognize" apps as you play music in them, which sometimes takes a song to kick in. But that's quickly over and then everything seems to work just as expected.
1 ★Used to be my last.fm scrobble app for years until they literally broke everything with the latest release. Completely wiped my settings, doesn't detect music app, forced notification that can't be turned off, unclear new settings. Just use the official last.fm app, it just works (like this app used to do).
2 ★Has worked perfectly for me for nearly two years. Just installed the new update (1.6.1) which wiped all settings and credentials. Set everything back up and even went into Poweramp to make sure the "scobble via Simple LastFM" box was checked and nothing. Hasn't captured a single song all day....
5 ★Everything is working fine now. It still doesn't recognize repeats but I like the new way it saves scrobbles so I'll adapt to it. Also I'm not sure why it would need storage permission, but I can understand why it needs notifications permission. Works fine with just that permission.
3 ★It used to work really well until few weeks ago. Now, It keeps logging out of lastfm for some reason, There is a persistent notification with two buttons Love/Copy and there is no option within the app to remove it. I dont like that notification. Doesnt scrobbles anything to Lastfm even when it is logged in. :(
