The battery status is displayed with an interval size of 10% (Full | 95% | 85% ...), because the devices only send their battery state with this accuracy. Also the case of the AirPods misses a Bluetooth transmitter. Therefore, the battery level of the case is only displayed when at least one AirPod is inserted in the case.
The app uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) interface. The API for Bluetooth LE only works with Location Permission, because the beacons for indoor navigation also uses Bluetooth LE.
The only known way to customize AirPods and change the double-tap functionality is connecting with an iPhone or Macbook. After then you can use the changed the double-tap functionality with Android.
Huawei, Xiami, Vivo, Oppo and other Chinese branded phones may not work with this app. These companies don't always use standard Bluetooth hardware in their phones.

How to install AirBattery APK on Android phone or tablet?

4 ★After uninstalling and reinstalling the app it worked. It's slow to read battery percentage but it works. Just give it a chance, be patient with it. Happy to be able to see how much battery has been used. Thank you for developing the app for android users. I have the airpods pro and it works with them as well as other Bluetooth enabled ear buds.
1 ★I bought this app to see airpods battery level but it doesn't work. It doesn't show me anything. I am using Sony Xperia XA and Airpods 2nd. My phone still recognizes the connection between itself and the airpods via bluetooth. But this app always shows doesn't find any airpods. I have tried to restart my phone, reinstall app, open location service, bluetooth but in vain. Extremely disappointed.

3 ★Why does an app to check airpods battery level need access to your location? It should only need access to bluetooth. 3 stars for "neutral" since I didn't use the app.
1 ★I have a Honor Play smartphone and air pods pro and the app doesn´t work:( I don´t know why cause even in the other reviews with older smartphones it works but well. Sorry its 1 star
4 ★Great app for Android users. Unfortunately, quite a few bugs. Main issue being that the right and left ear of AirPods are constantly being switched up. For example, when I have my right ear AirPod in, the percentage shows the right ear, HOWEVER, when I put my AirPod back into the case, it shows that it was my left AirPod falsely showing the left AirPod to have less charge than the right. Another issue is that the app is constantly not detecting my AirPods.
4 ★App is very nicely working, the only thing i am not getting is everytime i am checking the batrery satatus it shows full to both buds but 85℅ to ipod everytime.
1 ★I tried this but its not accurate. It kept showing that my airpods are at 100% but clearly its not, this is really an awful app. Not recommendable at all.
1 ★I have a Xiaomi note 8 Pro and the airpods connect and work just fine, but when I try using this app it just doesn't do anything, after the airpods connect, the app is still in the detection phase and remains like that Edit: Everything is enabled and the airpods are original. The app just doesn't work with Xiaomi's MIUI
1 ★Worked pretty well last year when I downloaded it, monitoring Apple Airbud charge on my Samsung Galaxy S9. Did not mind that left and right bud info was switched, at least it communicated charge levels. But updated the app this week and it no longer communicates between phone and buds. Tried developers suggestions except cannot access Airbattery on Optimization lists. Samsung has an issue with this. Airbattery and Samsung Android 10 still a No-Go (4/7/20).
5 ★Great app, but currently doesn't support Airpods 2019. Also S10 sometimes kills it with no particular reason (even with battery optimization disabled)
