3 ★Great app! When it works.... I love this app but after a few days, the app glitches and the screen will go black a few seconds after opening it (my phone is still on just the app is black) the only way I've figured out how to fix it is to uninstall the app and reinstall it. It works for a few days then will go black again and the process repeats. I would rate this game 5 stars if it wasn't such a hassle due to the buggy app!
4 ★Last year I gave this game a 5 star rating. I reached 365 days of play, got my bonus coins. Shortly after that things changed...now there's ads constantly. When you finished a game before, you got fireworks and status of your game. Now you get an ad. There's new word games added but same thing, lots of ads. I really enjoy the puzzles but the constant interruptions are getting real frustrating.
2 ★It's fun but I can't get passed stage 3 of the Movie night, it says the puzzle is already completed. I paid coins to replay the puzzle but still won't go passed stage 3. I watch the video. Multiple times, same thing. Updated the game same thing. It's a puzzle from March 1, 2017. My notifications show 75% have completed the path, but I can't even get passed 3 because I played that puzzle before. This shouldn't be an issue, especially if I paid the coins to replay it. The rest is good.
3 ★Great crossword puzzles. Variety of themes. However, just uninstalled after one week. Way too many intrusive ads. You also don't earn much in coins from solving puzzles or watching ads, meaning that if you want to use any of their hint systems, you're more inclined to just Google it on the side. There would be more incentive if you could earn more coins through ads and solving puzzles, thus feeding back into the loop.
3 ★A lot of fun. I Only gave 3 stars because the buttons to spend coins are so close to the lower keys on the keyboard that I've spent several coins by accident. Even when you turn on the setting to ask before spending coins, it doesn't always ask. (Sadly, I'm sure this is done on purpose to force us consumers to spend more $$$) Also, there aren't enough free puzzles in 1 day. Otherwise, a very fun game.
2 ★Too easy!...except when the puzzles have mistakes. I absolutely LOATHE incompetence, even my own at times lol, but my very first puzzle had a mistake! I stupidly kept going cuz I'm never one to give up on something the first time and have found many more mistakes. If you find any, plz take a screenshot of it and inform the developers. They assume this app is perfect & that I get frustrated when I can't find the answer, which is far from the truth, lol. A valance and valence mean two diff things!
3 ★Fun app, there's 3 mini puzzles that allow you to compete with others on the server (i assume) on an hourly rotation which is cool. They re-use some words quite a bit although that may be the nature of endless crosswords. The most annoying thing about the app is, surprise, the ads. There's a lot. They have quests you can do but roughly midway to 2/3 thru them it's highly unlikely you won't be watching a 15-30 sec ad or paying in game coins before each crossword. Very annoying.
3 ★It would be 5 stars for the game but 2 for how poorly it works. So I'm saying 3. This is the second time I downloaded thus game. I enjoy the game but the mechanics drive me up the wall. Just trying to play a puzzle, I stead of opening it, the game keeps showing me an ad over and over again. On the 3rd ad (30 secs each) I quit again. I'll try 1 more time. If it keeps doing it, I'll uninstall again.
5 ★I love playing this game! It's challenging, but not so hard that it's impossible. I love the ability to reveal a word, or even just a few letters across the board if I get stuck, and in very rare cases I use the "show wrong" option which shows incorrect letters that I entered. I can spend HOURS playing different crosswords and not be bored or frustrated!
1 ★Edit: it's gotten to the point where the ads have made the game unplayable. Ads come up during puzzles now. First, I spend more time looking at ads than playing the game. You used to be able to skip ads and get no coins, or watch and be rewarded. Now you have to watch and you don't get any coins. Second, if I use a hint to show a word one of the letters is wrong.
1 ★Ads for days. It forces you to watch ads to play the crossword which is fine for the free app. But it constantly takes way your coins for watching ads. "5 coins added!" But you'll notice 5 missing. They're unskippable 30 second ads. The power ups or whatever are played strategically near your fingers so you can accidentally spend your coins. There is an option deep in the settings where it makes them ask you if you wanna use the power. Oh and they repeat so many of the same clues... Scummy
2 ★This app has an absurd number of long ads. Every crossword you complete IMMEDIATELY sends you to an ad. In addition to this, periodically an ad will just pop up in the middle of you playing. And if you happen to be trying to press a button on screen at the moment, you get taken through the ad's link. Ultimately it's okay to use to complete crosswords if you're bored, but you may spend more time watching ads than you do playing puzzles.
