L’autosufficienza del Paese, ovvero l’equilibrio fra bisogni e raccolta, attualmente è sostenuta dalla disponibilità al dono di oltre 1.700.000 volontari anonimi e non remunerati: persone normali, in buona salute, di età compresa fra i 18 ai 65 anni, ma per mantenerla occorre un ricambio generazionale, un impegno individuale che diventa bene comune.
