Description

This app lets you add custom HLS/m3u8 files or use existing ones to a list which then compiles all of those files into separate live channels on Android TV's Live Channels app.

Cumulus TV uses a simple JSON interface for adding this data and can be synced to a file in Google Drive to make editing channels really easy. (You don't want to type in a long URL on your TV!) You can set a channel name, number, and logo for each, and the system plugs into the Live Channels app without hassle.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★A resounding "OK" Using the built-in channels works fine, but importing and exporting almost always leads to errors on both androidtv and mobile devices. Even attempts at manually importing result in errors displayed as toast messages too brief to be useful.
4 ★Developer has consistent updates to keep this working and try and keep the amount of crashes down. Depending on the update, it's on and off in regards to how much it crashes. Some times it won't crash at all, other days it will crash constantly. This app is very welcome to have in the ATV environment! I do wish it supported more streaming formats and I wish all my m3u8 streams work. A few don't work at all but did in the older versions of CTV...
5 ★Here is a developer who is dedicated to fixing problems and ensuring we have the best app. Can not recommend enough and wish there was a pro version I could pay for. Heck I'd pay to have access to the new backend early.
5 ★This is the Android TV killer app...it's not perfect but it's a great app that can only get better.
5 ★A must have if you want to add custom channels. The Leanback interface is pretty good.
4 ★Seems like the app I have been looking for but have no idea how to find m3u8 or hls channels to add to this app. Help please.
5 ★Awesome app, works as it should. There's room for improvements so keep updating.
5 ★easy enough to configure, and an involved, responsive developer. about as good as someone could ask for, really.
4 ★This app does what it says. Integrates easily with Live Channel App and let you extend your channels in the app beyond Pluto TV (TED and few others in the future) Nice work!
2 ★Would love it if not for the VERY steep learning curve. It lacks a file manager and true youtube integration. I'd love to add playlists from youtube, or build a channel from movies/TV shows on my NAS (similar to PseudoTV on Kodi). Alas, without these features, all the app does is crash.
2 ★Crashes constantly and causes shield tv to slow to a crawl. Channels wont load in live channels app until you rescan each time you start android. Great idea, but still has many bugs.
3 ★Couldn't open rtsp streams from my network tuner.
