Дитлоид - это вид словесной головоломки, в которой нужно разгадать фразу, дату или факт по её аббревиатуре.Создателем головоломок дитлоид является Уилл Шортц (Will Shortz), который опубликовал её впервые в журнале Игры (Games) за май-июнь 1981 года.
Название происходит от английского: 1 DITLOID = One Day In The Life Of Ivan Denisovich (Один день Ивана Денисовича).
Правила игры
Имена существительные и прилагательные в дитлоидах принято писать с заглавных букв, а служебные части речи - со строчных.
Если в аббревиатуре указан знак равно (=), то символы перед знаком служат подсказкой к ответу и их не нужно указывать в ответе.
За каждую верно отгаданную загадку игроку начисляются баллы. Количество баллов зависит от количества попыток ответа на загадку:
верный ответ с 1-й попытки - 5 баллов;
верный ответ со 2-й попытки - 2 балла;
верный ответ с 3-й или более попытки - 1 балл.
В начале игры игроку начисляется 10 баллов, которые он может использовать для получения подсказки либо ответа на загадку. Стоимость подсказки составляет - 5 игровых баллов; стоимость ответа на загадку - 10 игровых баллов.
