A Dark Night is a text-based indie game, it's much grimmer in tone, with a stronger plot and a more roguelike-like focus on survival. And it received a number of awards for its nice concept & great design.

How to play:
A Dark Night starts with a few lines of text on a dark screen, and what you can do is pressing the “stoke fire” button. When a ragged stranger has come, you keep stoking the fire, the grey progress bar slowly filling itself out again each time to signal when you’ll be able to press the “stoke fire” button again. Then you will find more strangers come, and more resource should be built & managed.
The resource can support your adventure in map, and you will find the final objective.

This android version is port from the open source version of it. And the web part source code is in the github:

4 ★Would be nice to have instructions. As another person stated, it opens up as you play. More options pop up, and more abilities. I almost stopped playing because I thought it was boring. Thank goodness I kept playing, cuz the more you do, the more you can do. DEVS I'D MAKE IT MORE CLEAR THAT THE GAME OPENS UP AS U PLAY! Prob keep more players playing that way! Need some work, but good game, all in all.

5 ★5 stars: great idea, concept and execution. You start with nothing and with time (and patience) you get to manage a big village, wield from bone spears to laser rifle and from walking to build a spaceship.... but once you cleared the game, that's it, you cleared itband there is no replay value.... If the developers added a perk (like double resources produced or less time to produce X thing) for completing the game, I might be more inclined to keep playing it. But nevertheless is a great game! 5/5 stars.

4 ★Fantastic game that really opens up as you play. Would be nice to have a speed-up perk. Such short chunks of text often leads to bad grammer and the map doesn't let you felt scroll so on my S5 I can't travel south without travelling off the bottom of the screen. Also at this stage I have maybe a 3 second lag on the man power screen.

5 ★AMAZING STORY. you slowly descover bit by bit as you read. I started thinking it was one genre/setting, and every time it changed. Everytime it changes you think you know it all and learn you wrong. Its very good at teaching you as you play, and while you die a lot it doesnt unfairly punish you. Its the perfect example of "dont tell the audience- show them" with game controls and story. One of the best apps ive ever played, deffinatly has replayability, and for very little memory storage!!

5 ★I don't know how this compares with other ports/versions but I believe this game is worth finishing. Every time I thought I had done it all, I explored a little more and something new opened up. All the way until I was surprised by a ending screen and score. I am not ready to replay this game, yet. I am keeping it around for now though. Great job, dev

4 ★It's a great game! It's part of my daily! routine haha. The only problem is, is that it gets repetitive over time. I still haven't beat it yet but it would be interesting if you made an update with a lot of new content like customizable text colors/names. Either way it's a great game and I would totally recommend it to my friends!
