Celebrating the 45 year anniversary of the Apollo 15 mission! Use your phone and Google Cardboard to simulate the 1971 Apollo 15 Moon Landing.
Feel the rumble as the spacecraft descends to the Lunar surface. Walk on the moon like Scott and Irvin did, and unpack and drive the Lunar Rover.
This App requires a Google Cardboard VR headset, and a modern, powerful smartphone. Does not require a button. Best experienced with headphones. If you notice the application is running slow, select the "half resolution" option in the main menu.
Although this application aims to recreate a realistic impression of the Apollo 15 moon landing, using NASA data and footage, some liberties have been taken to fit the mission into a minutes-long VR demo.

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

5 ★Simply amazing!! Best VR app... Never got this much enjoyment out of a demo before now. A suggestion. Do one of Apollo 11 so i can relive one of the most memorable events of my childhood. One more time.. Great job guys. :)
4 ★I loved the whole demo . Its winter right now where im from so its cold and playing this with the cold weather made it more real like . I would love to drive over mountain on the full version if it ever comes out ..I felt lonely and really missed earth
4 ★Great immersive and educational VR experience. My first attempt I got stuck in the rover with no apparent way out of it, but on subsequent attempts everything was flawless. The app could use an exit/back button but aside from that this is a great VR app. Worth the download.
5 ★Incredible experience. There was a moment, walking back from the rover, where I looked at how small the planet was, and got a tiny sense of how enormous this was. This will be the first thing I show to friends that ask about mobile VR.
5 ★I don't ever write reviews, but I made an exception for this one. This is just incredible. I'm not sure how else to put it. Talk about a way to experience something only a few have done or ever will. It's simple, but it really puts in perspective just how far those men went and what an unbelievable feat that was. If you're looking for something that is both exciting and sobering, you've found it.
5 ★Not only are the graphics, sound, animation etc. well done, but the user interface was excellent -- very easy to understand and use, and very comfortable. The graceful launch and exit were appreciated! (Personally I'd rather be back in the lander for the end, but it was very clear what was going on.) This app would also make a great demo to show other developers how to do VR UI.
5 ★For VR games I've played, this ticked all the boxes. Only thing I wish it went longer. Steering was working great. This should be the standards for all VR games

5 ★Not only dose it have you looking at earth half the time but it puts you in the rover and let's you build and control it to a certain extent but other than that the facts at the end are a amazing!!
5 ★This is the best VR app I've seen so far. It puts the technology to good use and ran well on my phone. It's a bit short, but very immersive.
5 ★An absolute cracker of a VR experience! Highly recommended! Works very nicely on a OnePlus One phone (so should be good on anything with equivalent specs. I use a Virtoba Headset which has a bigger field of view than standard cardboard. Really very immersive. Nice use of NASA audio as well. A couple of suggestions - the pointer sometimes seemed to move focal distance? something in the models perhaps? Also some astronaut breathing and suit sounds would really add massively to the overall experience. This is a lovely piece of work that really shows what you can do with Cardboard. Hope the author is going to add to this if he gets the time!
