Il 19 marzo del 1982 a Genk nasce ufficialmente RADIO INTERNAZIONALE
RADIO INTERNAZIONALE nasce come organo di informazione e divertimento degli Italiani del Limburgo
La storia di Radio Internazionale ha inizio nel lontano 1982, un periodo decisamente glorioso per l'emittenza radiofonica locale.
A dar vita al progetto fu sopratutto Dario Vanoli, e tanti volontari accomunati dall'amore per la musica e la voglia di fare intrattenimento e informazione via etere.
L'entusiasmo si tramutò in popolarità, ottimi ascolti e linee telefoniche sempre bollenti.
Programmazione: giochi, dirette telefoniche, tanta informazione locale e nazionale, musica per tutti i gusti e programmi di nicchia (dedicati a generi come il country e la musica internazionale) trovavano il loro giusto spazio sulle nostre frequenze, in quegli anni i 102,8 Mhz
Oggi
Sono passati tanti anni, e molte voci si sono susseguite ai nostri microfoni.
La nostra storia è un po' quella della musica degli ultimi trentanni e più.
Dopo tutto questo tempo dicevamo eccoci ancora qui, lievemente riposizionati di frequenza e con sempre tanta voglia di fare radio e tenervi compagnia.
Anche i locali si sono rinnovati e ampliati: il nostro studio si é dotato di ampio spazio per regia e messa in onda, per redazione e archivi discografici; i vecchi giradischi hanno lasciato il posto ai compact disc e a sofisticate strumentazioni elettroniche.
Abbiamo ulteriormente migliorato la qualità del nostro segnale e della modulazione stereo hi-fi, che migliora la qualità del suono e lo rende caldo e avvolgente.
La nostra antenna, situata a Waterschei, irradia il segnale per tutta la zona di Genk e dintorni.
La nostra radio è sempre più come la vuoi tu.
