Tuneo, also knows as "Guitar and Violin Tuner" is an extremely accurate instrument tuner for many instruments, like guitar, violin, bass, ukulele, viola, cello, banjo and shamisen, including many alternate tunings and variants.Professionals appreciate its precision, beginners quickly learn to tune their instrument properly. The application is easy to use thanks to a combination of a chromatic and a strobe tuner on one screen, and provides the most accurate tuning you can achieve.
The chromatic tuner precisely detects the frequency of the tone played on your instrument, and shows it on the chromatic scale. The target pitches are highlighted on the scale, and you can see how much is the tone out of tune. When you get close enough, you can use the strobe tuner for fine tuning.
The strobe tuner helps you to achieve extreme accuracy. The pattern is moving to the right when the tone is too high, indicating that you need to tune down. When it is moving to the left, just tune up. The slower the pattern moves, the better is your instrument tuned.

The strobe tuner uses an independent algorithm from the chromatic tuner. While the chromatic tuner uses the Fast Fourier Transformation, the algorithm in the strobe tuner is much closer to what you can find in oscilloscopes, and is computed directly on the GPU of your phone or tablet.
You can also use the tuner to tune by ear. The buttons at the bottom of the screen play the reference tones and you can tune accordingly. The tones are synthesized, and respects the setting of the concert pitch.

5 ★I can tune my guitar to the original 428 hz. The notes are all whole numbers, no decimals. Love the sound of real tuning
5 ★I wasn't expecting a tablet or phone to be good enough at picking up the tone clearly, but it damn well is. Its even easier with my electric violin, i plug an aux lead into the headphone/mic socket of my phone and the headphones out on the violin, and it's so easy, not picking up much background noise. With my acoustic, I take the Tablet out of the case and place it directly against the body of the violin and it picks up very clearly and consistently.

5 ★This is a wonderful tool. There are other positively-reviewed tuner apps available, and I've tried a good number of them, but I like this one best by far. It's ready to use immediately when you start the app. It's sensitive and extremely precise. Better yet, that precision is easy to utilize, owing to very fast and clear response in the large, uncluttered display. It's designed for use with a great variety of instruments. Also, there are no ads. I highly recommend this.
5 ★This app just works! It doesn't do a lot but it does it exceptionally well giving a very clear display of how close the tuning is, and is simple to set for different instuments. I typically tune with the pitch sound (just tap each note) then finish with the lower panel 'analogue meter' option.
5 ★Best tuner app I've used. The visualization is not very useful and is a bit distracting, but it listens well, responds precisely, and seems accurate. I usually use it to tune an unplugged electric guitar, and when I plug into my pedal chain after tuning with this app I'm very close to exactly in tune.
5 ★Great, great app. Really useful features for musicians. Love the Herz setting, so you can escape the Gebels-tuned 440Hz, if you desire. Adding a metronome as a feature would make it great instrument companion. My only concern is that the app doesn't get spoiled in the future, as it happens with most good things in life :-)

5 ★This app doesn't really help me at ALL. When I try to click on a key to learn how to tune that note, it doesn't do ANYTHING. Overall, the settings are nearly in place and easy to get to. Edit: Finally! I figured out what was wrong;my bow needed to be rehaired. Love this app now! Totally recommend this app.
