قال الشيخ صالح الفوزان حفظه الله:
# التوحيد : هو أول شيء أمر النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم معاداً بالدعوة إليه وهذا ليس خاص بمعاد، هذا عام لكل من يدعو إلى الله عز وجل أن يبدأ بهذا الأصل فإن هم أطاعوك لذلك وشهدوا أن لا إله إلا الله واعترفوا بعقيدة التوحيد حينئذٍ مرهم بالصلاة والزكاة أما بدون أن يقروا بالتوحيد فلا تأمرهم بالصلاة لأنه لا فائدة للصلاة والزكاة ولجميع الأعمال ولو كثرت بدون توحيد والدليل:
# قال الله سبحانه وتعالى { ولقد أوحي إليك وإلى الذين من قبلك لئن أشركت ليحبطن عملك ولتكونن من الخاسرين بل الله فاعبد وكن من الشاكرين }[ سورة الزمر 65-66] ،
# والأنبياء عليهم الصلاة والسلام أول ما يبدأون بدعوة التوحيد قال الله تعالى في نوح علية السلام { لقد أرسلنا نوحاً إلى قومه فقال يا قوم اعبدوا الله مالكم من إله غيره } [سورة الأعراف 59]
# وقال تعالى { وإلى عادٍ أخاهم هوداً قال يا قوم اعبدوا الله مالكم من إله غيره } [سورة هود 61 ]
#وقال تعالى { وإلى ثمود أخاهم صالحاً قال يا قوم اعبدوا الله مالكم من إله غيره } [سورة هود 61 ]
#وقال تعالى {وإلى مدين أخاهم شعيباً قال يا قوم اعبدوا الله مالكم من إله غيره} [سورة هود 84]
# بل إنه سبحانه وتعالى أجمل الرسل في قوله { ولقد بعثنا في كل أمة رسولاً أن اعبدوا الله واجتنبوا الطاغوت فمنهم من هدى الله ومنهم من حقت عليه الضلالة}[سورة النحل 36]
# وقال تعالى{وما أرسلنا من قبلك من رسول إلا نوحي إليه أنه لا إله أنا فاعبدون} [سورة الأنبياء 25].
