Ashta Chamma game, an Indian version of Ludo, involves moving tokens based on dice throws. Tokens enter the board on a dice result of 1, travel anti-clockwise in outer squares, clockwise in inner squares, and aim to reach the home square. - Ashta Chamma is a traditional board game from India also called Chowka Bhara, Pachisi that can be played by two or four players.
- Ashta Chamma is played on a 7-by-7 grid with an additional square on each edge and a yellow square in the middle.
- Ashta Chamma requires one to die.
- Each player selects 4 BEADs the colour of their choice. BEADS start off the board.
- Players decide who begins the game by rolling a die.
- Play always occurs in a clockwise direction.

- In the game players roll a 6 to start, placing the first BEAD closest to them. Pre-placement rolls are forfeited.
- The essence lies in moving any BEAD, using each die roll entirely. Multiple rolls on the same BEAD only consider the final stopping point.
- BEADs journey clockwise, navigating the outer 28 squares, transitioning inwards for a 20-square circuit, and advancing to the final 12-square inner track.
- After conquering the inner track and aligning with the starting point, BEADs move to the central square, signifying their removal from the game.
- Exact rolls are vital to land BEADs on the central square, adding strategic precision.
- Players strategically place more than one BEAD on a square, shaping the game's dynamics.
- Landing on a square with an opponent’s BEAD results in cutting it. The opponent must roll a 6 to restart.
- Cutting an opponent’s BEAD initiates a fresh turn, starting with a new die roll.
- 8 marked squares with an X provide immunity. BEADs on these squares cannot be cut, encouraging unique strategic alliances among players.
