2 ★Is the game fun? Sure. Is it worth it to sit through ad after ad while you fill out a puzzle one letter at a time? Absolutely not. The amount of ads in this game is absolutely astounding and makes what would be a fun 2 minute puzzle a complete and utter slog. For them to charge $6 to remove the ads for only a single month is absolutely absurd. I understand supporting developers but this is aggregious and honestly embarrassing. Spend your time and money elsewhere.
4 ★I love this game, BUT... I HATE that after inactivity, your ranking goes down. There are days when I have a lot of free time and I can reach the next ranking, only to be shot back down 2 days later to where I started just because I didn't have enough time to continuously play. It is so frustrating. I've kicked all kinds of a$$ and I have to keep doing it all over again and again and again. II would have to be playing for several hrs a day just to maintain a rank and I don't have the time.
1 ★Good ui and stuff but oh my gosh the ads. Even if you pay for no ads there are still a lot of ads. Wanna try the daily puzzle again? Ad. Hint? Ad. Double coin? Ad. Usually these games once you buy the no ads it skips all of those and just gives you all that stuff. Not this one! The only thing it disables is the forced ads but there are still a ton of ads to see
2 ★Saw lots of people online playing this game but an ad and a promotion to pay after the second attempt? Really?! I am 100% comfortable paying for an add but if it's that aggressive then what's the point? Might as well make a premium version out the gate but with the current state I just feel disrespected. Uninstalling The second attempt! I can't believe it
1 ★Stop the ad insanity! I've been happily playing for 1.5 years on the paid ad-free tier. I've spent almost $22 USD on ad-free and booster packs, but it doesn't matter. I'm not sure if this is Lion Studios or Goldfinch Studios now, but support is unresponsive. Is it extortion or just greed? Either way, the recent ad onslaught has confirmed my decision to uninstall. Avoid this NYT Worldle clone, and stay away from the microtransaction treadmill.
1 ★Ad abuse. If you don't want to shell out for the ad free version, it smacks you with them like a bad husband coming home drunk from the bar. Nearly all the ads have two close buttons, often on opposite sides of the screen. The only reason to go so hard on ads to to force you to pay for the ad free version. But, just like the bad husband, the best choice is to just leave the toxicity behind you.
2 ★It's a fun game but sadly the ads ruin the experience. It's common to get an ad after every quess, guaranteed if you complete a level, and most you cannot skip. I can see why this game was very when it first came out so I'm guessing they didn't have any it at least as have ads to deal with and that's why the rating is as high as it is now. It's worth trying and if you can tolerate the ads you'll have a fun time. If you can't you'll do what I did and delete the app.
2 ★Had to uninstall because of the frequency of the ads (ad free version). I'm sympathetic to the fact that the developers have to make money on a free game, but this was definitely over the top to the point of unusability. Multiple, long disruptive video ads in a single game. I was going to buy the ad free version but then I discovered through previous reviews that you STILL GET ADS. Not worth it. Gave 2 stars because the graphics and game play were smooth and intuitive.
1 ★Surprised I'm able to write this review without an ad popping up. An ad in the middle of the level, an ad at the end, multiple pop-ups about microtransactions, extra hints are locked behind ads. I had the game for ten minutes and spent more time trying to tap out of ads than I did playing the actual game. And to beat it all, there's a response from the devs about trying to find "balance" about these ads. What a joke.
1 ★Sorry, waaaaaay too many ads. I'm used to ads in BETWEEN games, but never right AS I'm about to select a letter. At least a couple of ads are DURING the game. Are you kidding me?!? BEYOND excessive! I still can't believe it. Seriously?!? Of course, you can remove the ads for a fee. I've figured out a better way. I uninstalled the game and started playing a different one. I haven't seen an ad from them since. Funny how that works. 😏
2 ★Ads are horrible, they happen almost every move and are long and designed to make you miss the close out button so it directs you to the homepage of the displayed ad (disgustingly tricky)! Also my wife and I have sent each other invites but they come through. The random matches take to long for the other player to move. The game gets quite boring after your first 6 games and they have prizes which amount to nothing and everything costs money which is pointless to even spend on. DO NOT DOWNLOAD
3 ★The game is great and I play it every time, Great way to pass time. HOWEVER The problem is the ads, they are bugged, making them unskippable. I don't have a problem with ads appearing, but when I try to skip them the "X" button doesn't work, which forces me to close the app and open it every time an ad appears and this is very frustrating Reply: it's a Instagram ad, and everything In the ad is unclickable, I can't even report it.
