3 ★The first game was interesting in lore and mechanics during battles. Now, it feels very generic and slow. Some strategies are required. However, it lost the original appeal and strategies that the first one had. That and it tends to "load" during actions, which causes an in-game screen lock. Unfortunately, I uninstalled due to this.
4 ★Love the story and old school rpg vibe and costume concept, would love to see more of the r and sr characters to get a 2nd or 3rd costume for more cute art. It still has lag and bugs here and there and phone still tries to run hot even after changing setting but not nearly as often. I'm not a fan of the way the auto pvp is over all but I'm on the 5th story hard mode still casually going with my fav level 42-51s so I'm still able to enjoy at my own pace.
4 ★Great game so far in comparison to the 1st one. Love the voice acting, the addition of skill animations for each character, the art style, the environment. My only complaint is not being able to skip some the slow animations for pickup up items, upgrading characters, and cooking. I can see some qol changes in the future, so I'll keep playing for right now.
3 ★I went into this expecting the battle mechanics to be more or less the same, just with updated graphics. Battle has been drastically simplified, and has lost much that made it unique and challenging. The characters, too, have been simplified (mechanics-wise), and now have a "basic" attack and a "skill" that, in the first game, was their base attack. They've also lost their special abilities, like Seir's quirky shield curse. If you're going into this expecting the same thing, don't.
3 ★The story, voice acting and art are great. The battle system is good but the leveling up system becomes hard around lvl 40 and up. There's a quality game here that feela like it couldve just been a high quality indie title than gacha. I don't know if it's my luck but getting the rate up character in this game seems pretty hard especially since the pity is at 200. Gacha elements for this type of game doesn't seem to fit, also there are still bugs,lag,multiple loading screens. Games worth a try.
4 ★So far, I enjoy the game quite a lot! The tutorial and guides are very easy to understand, and obtaining at least one of your favorite characters is very simple! As the story goes on, you gain characters for free without having to consider spending money to be able to get through more and more difficult challenges. I like how it's mainly singerplayer and isn't extremely competitive, like the majority of these kinds of games, and focuses on a good experience for the players without any rush!
3 ★Not bad. Cute and Fun. I like the style, but the game is still kinda unstable(crashes) and unbalanced, the HP & combat power gap between the NPC(green)quest bosses and our heroes are a bit high, and quite difficult to beat too. And that's just the beginning of the game, & it only get more crazier😮💨. Killing regular foes is quite pointless too, since it is not enough for leveling up the heroes! The daily purple quest is so so, just coins! So Elin is for changing difficulty on Main Quest.
5 ★Pretty good. Nice art. Mostly another anime waifu collector. Entertaining enough stories and characters. Quite enjoyable gameplay. I like the mini-grid based turn based gameplay, especially with the knockback feature that allows for arranging enemies to align for your characters' different AoEs. I like the levels that gave set level-locked units as it gave problems that couldn't be solved with grinding.
5 ★The game at times can feel slow, lagging and sluggish especially when moving around dungeons. The battle system is one of a kind, it may be difficult to understand the first time it is experienced. The game has exceptional art, voices and music. I suggest to add more social features to the game where players can chat and interact with one another through a guild or friend system. Overall an exceptional gem of a game! Well made and beautiful!
4 ★I played the Brown dust before it had the name switch it was a really interesting game at the time and very generous. Brown Dust 2 has this great retro feel makes me think of Arc the lad or Lunar vibe with how placements are done. I've completed the first story and it's quite good with full Japanese voices is a nice touch. But I can't give it 5 stars for 2 reasons 1 (could change) grinding and getting mats to ascend are hard to get and 2 knock back is way way to punishing so damage needs rework.
5 ★I played the first one and liked it a lot, despite lacking some polish. For example it is a bit offputting that the title has no spaces. This game once again seems to have nice characters and an interesing world. The pve/pve combat is by far the strongest point of the game. I don't like that not all high rarity units have special animations even though there are rare units that do. My rating is very generous, and I hope that they will improve the game, as it has some charm.
5 ★Very impressive artwork, voice acting, and writing so far! The infinite reroll function makes for a smooth reroll experience if you are looking to grab your favorite unit/costume/gear. I will definitely continue playing for the story, characters, and team building. So far, I have not had any negative experience with the game and I hope to keep enjoying Brown Dust 2. Thank you.
