4 ★Amazing game, engaging story, awesome visuals! While feeling familiar to those who play(ed) Soul Knight it still has plenty of novel mechanics and new lore. The new class system feels balanced and early game progression is perfect to teach the player the ropes while not taking an eternity. The online game feature (as opposed to LAN only in the last game) is super great as someone who enjoys playing with friends and family. Yeah some bugs need ironing out here and there but once that's done- 5 ⭐s
1 ★Quite possibly the most poorly executed launch in recent history. Like CyberPunk bad. Launched on the 11/24 and as of 12/3 it is still unplayable. Most regions cannot even log in and if you can, it errors out with almost every action. It is ridiculous that games seem to have a constant online requirement that comes with these issues. They don't need to be, they just are because of data collection. So to everyone saying "Its free", no, its not. Update 12/8/23: Still can't log in without VPN...
1 ★Would easily be a 4 star rating from just the tutorial but sadly when you try to log into the game you are most often met with an error code 6. Then if you do play if you skip the tutorial the game has a chance to load indefinitely. I can see the effort put into this game and I do enjoy what I got to play but until it's fixed it'll be a 1 star. It's just hard to give it a rating higher as I physically can't play.
3 ★Been trying to play the game since the 24th. 12/12, I've finally been able to log in to Google Play and create my character. For the first couple days, I kept getting error 6. Then I stopped getting the error and downloaded the update. Upon getting to the title screen I would keep tapping the Google button but nothing would happen. Eventually I started getting error 6 again. Today I finally didn't get error 6 and the Google login worked. Really wish this had offline mode like the OG Soul Knight.
4 ★This game was good, after it was fixed. But before it was fixed, I wasn't able to even make an account or sign in through gmail, vpn or not. So I waited a few days, and after I heard it got better, I redownloaded the game (i had it from it's release for week*) and only then it started working. I did not recieve the apology pack given to those who were able to sign in before December 14. Other than that, the game is great, having such a variety of spell/class combos to explore.
5 ★I love the previous version of this game, but right now it says my name has an invalid username. Then it crashed saying my device couldn't connect to the game servers. Didn't even get passed my first character selection. Update: Now 5 star reveiw. Serves could use a lot of work but not the worst. Gameplay is fast paced and more allowing of the player to do what they want, compared to the last version of the game.
2 ★I hate to contribute to this games low rating. The game truly is fun when you get to play it. It requires a really strong internet connection to play. I have 5g full bars and I still can't play it, I have to be at my house connected to the actual internet to play it, so it kinda ruins the point of it being a mobile game. If these issues are addressed, I would definitely raise my rating of the game. Update: Now it is doing error code 6 again.
1 ★Been waiting for this game and can't even play it. Keep getting an error code and it force closes. Feels bad. Update: Was able to play with error messages every 15 or so seconds. Sometimes more. Then right back to not being able to log into Google. PLEASE FIX IT. I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS GAME FOR SO LONG! Update: Just get a black screen for 10 seconds before coming to the loading screen and immediately get an error message. The fact it's still this bad is just disappointing at this point.
1 ★There's a network error that keeps popping up and most times I can't get past the first loading screen. The first time I played which was the first day it was released I ended up getting in and it was great but I haven't been able to load in since then. Even when I was able to get in the error box popped up once every at least 20 seconds completely blocking the screen. ***WILL NOT UNINSTALL*** ***WILL CHANGE TO 5 STARS IF FIXED***
1 ★Can't even get the game to start properly. I played for 30 min when it first dropped. Now I can't even load the title screen cuz it errors out. UPDATE 12/4/23, still completely unable to even load the game, crashes at 30% every time. This has gotta be one of the worst launches of a game I've ever seen. Really let down because I loved soul knight.
4 ★Gameplay is solid, there's no shortage of diablo esque ARPGs but this one definitely nails the mechanis better than most. The main issue is network error messages that seem to pop up constantly. Clicking retry always works, so hopefully it's an easy fix for the developers to just auto retry or something
1 ★Soul Knight Prequel has been anticlimactic. Although the concept is freaking awesome, turning a run and gun into a full blown RPG, there has been login issues and connection problems ever since the game dropped in the Play Store for Android. I had such high hopes for it. I'm running a 300mb downstream connection on a Note 20 Ultra. There should be no problems with getting dropped due to network error. Must be their servers or other bugs. I'll give 5 when they fix this problem.
