فاطمه معصومه (۱ ذی‌القعده ۱۷۳ – ۱۰ ربیع‌الثانی ۲۰۱ ه.ق) دختر موسی بن جعفر، هفتمین امام شیعیان و نجمه خاتون است. نام اصلی وی فاطمه است ولی به معصومه ملقب است. وی در دوران حکومت عباسیان و در خلافت هارون الرشید، امین و مأمون زندگی می‌کرد. برادر وی، پس از انتصاب به ولایتعهدی مأمون، از مدینه به مرو رفت و این فراق سبب شد تا فاطمه معصومه پس از یک سال، به سمت برادر خویش علی بن موسی الرضا عزم مرو نماید.حضرت معصومه سرانجام پس از گذشت ۱۷ روز تحمل بیماری، در سن ۲۸ سالگی و در ۱۰ ربیع‌الثانی (و به نقلی ۱۲ ربیع‌الثانی) ۲۰۱ ه.ق در شهر قم درگذشت.
