Description
The Golden Age of heroes is over, but you're just beginning. Will you use your powers to help the world or help yourself? Set on a near-future Earth that has been irrevocably altered by the arrival of superhumans, the world has been dealing with a radical shift in the nature of humanity. For thirty years, those with world-altering powers - referred to as capes - have been at the forefront of the world's media. There has been heroes, there has been villains, and there has been world-shattering confrontations when those two groups came into contact. For a time, those individuals walked the world like modern deities. For a time, it was good.But things change. Given time, all things resolve to entropy.
The Golden Age is over. The player, a member of the newest graduating class of an international academy for powered individuals, needs to find their place in this new world, and whether that place will be determined by their own hand - or by the machinations of others. Assigned to the troubled Paradigm City, it'll be up to the player to determine whether their name becomes a byword for fame or infamy, idealism or pragmatism, and loyalty or ambition.
"Paradigm City" is a 110,000 word interactive fantasy novel by James Rhoden, where your choices control the story. It's entirely text-based—without graphics or sound effects—and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

5 ★Honestly loved it. It is a fairly straightforward choice of game but the story was written quite well in my opinion. Don't let the low star rate fool you... It's just a bunch of kids who couldn't get their mom or dad to pay for the full game ( which is honestly inexpensive realistically)
5 ★It was a lot of fun and pretty interesting. I liked the characters, the ideas, the setting. I really regret not getting it sooner. I do sort of wish it was two games because at one point things felt a bit rushed, but still well worth the not exorbitant price.
5 ★All the one stars are complaining about the fact you have to oay for it. Inmy opinion well worth it. A relatively short (about 3 to 4 hour read) thatmakes you think and teases at deeper matter such as robotic sentience andshould good intentioned people be pardoned for doing wrong things. Does setup what could be an even better sequel if the author decides to followthrough with it. 9/10 must buy
5 ★I thought that this was a very engaging game with great characterisation and dialogue. People who like problematic and realistic superheroes will dig this. You can also read more stories from this gritty universe if you check out the author's blog
3 ★I play a lot of these games, and I normally love them a lot. I downloaded Paradigm City last night and breezed through it relatively quickly. It's not bad, but I really don't feel that it compares to most of the other choose-your-adventure style games. The author clearly put work into this game and I can appreciate that, but it runs into a few cliches, lacks many meaningful choices, and the plot advances fairly abruptly at times. I don't hate it, but I kind of regret paying 5 dollars for it. For 99 cents I would have said it's worth it, but I'd seek out a different game if you're on a budget. This one is okay.
1 ★Stupid, stupid, stupid. Nothing but a bunch of politically correct garbage. Not even worth a free sample download. I want the last hour of my life back.
3 ★F*** you You could just put some bloody ads between chapters like in doomsday on demand. So far it's good but I can't play the rest.
1 ★None of your decisions have any impact at all and at most change the dialogue a bit. Not worth your money, not worth your time. If you are searching for an interactive, choose your adventure type of game — or any game with freedom of choice at all — you are wrong with this game. If you're searching for an excuse to blow five bucks on a very short novel there are better options.
4 ★For some odd reason I kept getting an error alert which prevented me from continuing the game but otherwise the game is very interesting and has a really good plot👍😁
5 ★I hate it when people give complex things bad ratings, the rating turned me away at first but now I'm hooked. Play for yourselves
4 ★There's a mistake here: "You're not sure what happened to Courser. He did not appear at Sentinel's trial..." hmm at that point of my game, Sentinel's dead. So.. what trial? :D. Well other than that glitch, the story-game is a great adventure, really makes you feel you're the hero of an epic superhero movie.
3 ★Darn you hosted games making me pay for all but one chapter why can't you just give us a break and give us a good game we don't have to pay for. One example of this type of game : The Great Tournament
