Surah Yasin is the 36th chapter in the Koran. This chapter consists of 83 verses, and belongs to the Makkiyah surahs. It is named Ya Sin because this surah begins with the two Arabic alphabets Ya & Sin. Surah Yasin is in chapters 22 and 23. This chapter is divided into two different chapters, namely chapters 22 and chapters 23.
