1 ★I do like Platonic Games, so it hurts me to have to leave a bad review like this. I understand that this game is supposed to bring attention to various forms of direct and indirect animal cruelty, but not all of these are even cruelty, some are confusing, and some give a bad message or give misinformation. The dog washing one bothers me because, 1, what's so bad about washing a poor dog? 2, pet shops are fine, so long as the animals are treated with the care and respect they deserve, you shouldn't paint them all as these evil money grabbers. And on that note, 3, "Well, that's Capitalism, right?" Really? You're going to throw a political message in there? Capitalism has its pros and cons, it's unfair to give a vague one-sided statement on it like that. Next, the cow milking one. I'll admit, the big farming practice of essentially forcing cows to get pregnant for the sake of a steady supply of milk is an act of cruelty, and the conditions they tend to live under are outrageous, but there's nothing cruel about the act of milking a cow. If anything, it's good for them. Milking the excess milk that the calves won't drink prevents the cow from developing painful calcium buildup in its udder. Farms should have more humane treatment of their animals, but that minigame doesn't express that at all. I have a similar argument for the egg catching one. There's nothing wrong with taking unfertilized eggs from hens. They regularly lay eggs in the first place, without the need of a rooster. So if it's not fertilized, it'll just go to waste if it's not eaten. However, as shown on the winning screen, the hens themselves are treated poorly in big farms. Oftentimes they're given growth hormones at a young age so they grow faster and larger to lay eggs sooner, and so the chicken itself can be sold for a higher price. "Meat by the pound" and all that. Because of those growth hormones, they become too heavy to move themselves, they may have a lot of meat, but not enough muscle. Either way, it's unnatural and cruel, so this game is only half right on that one. And I don't understand what on Earth is going on in the rabbit one. Most of these minigames hit the nail on the head, make it very clear what the issue is and why it's wrong, but the first three I mentioned here I believe are misinforming. I would appreciate it if there was an extra menu that provided more information on the issues in the game, so the players could read about it and get a better understanding.
