Description

Happy Atoms is the physical and digital teaching tool that lets you discover the world of molecules in an intuitive, hands-on way! This interactive learning tool combines a digital app with a physical modeling set that lets students from 4th grade through college approach chemistry from a different angle.

Happy Atoms requires the use of the Happy Atoms modeling set for full play! The sets are available at www.happyatoms.com and at many educational retailers!

Chemistry is an incredibly important subject that many students never fully grasp. Knowledge of chemistry is necessary to solve many real-world problems, but the way chemistry is taught now often fails to capture students’ imaginations, discouraging experimentation and discovery.

Happy Atoms aims to change that by offering a chemistry learning experience that sets itself apart.

* See the difference between elements
* Feel the forces that bond them together
* Experiment with ways to combine them
* Discover the relationships between molecular structure and properties

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Works fine on my galaxy s4
1 ★Won't load on my phone. (S8) Frustrating for a kid who wants to play with atoms in an Apple-free home.
1 ★It wouldn't work on my phone
1 ★Doesn't load at all - just a black screen.
5 ★Great app
1 ★Horrible software ruins what could be an awesome learning tool. It's even more irritating that the software appears to recognize the atoms (because it correctly labels them) but still refuses to allow you to synthesize them. Tried on several devices and in different lighting. Useless product, you should be ashamed of yourselves!
1 ★What a waste of money, of which I spent a lot. Damn toy cost $110 and we can't get it to work. On my son's phone (We all have androids) it crashes everyone it tries to access the camera during the set up process. Okay. I have a new phone (S7). I load the app on my phone. It doesn't crash, but I keep getting a message that, "Whoops, something is off. Reset the camera and try again. I have restarted my phone and that didn't do anything to help. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Same issues. Really pretty pissed off about this. If I spent $20 on the toy, the I got what I paid for. I spent over $100.
3 ★The camera has difficulty taking a picture of the molecule, keep getting a white screen. Constantly have to to close app and reopen. Also misidentifies elements even when clearly seen and "targeted" in picture. Frustrating for a child and disappointing for a very expensive gift.
1 ★Can't get through set up. Tried with multiple devices. Waste of money and time! Disappointing Christmas gift. Amazed creators allow app to remain up. Will be returning molecules. Could have been awesome!
1 ★I understand this is a new app but it's been 6 months since it was put out and the bugs should have been worked out by Christmas. It's mislabling atoms and refuses to sythesize. I'm very happy of the quality of the actual atoms but they are useless without a properly working app. If I do not get a prompt response to my email I will be returning. Has potential but far too expensive to be collecting dust. So far EXTREMELY disappointed.
1 ★Crashes during setup when it tries to take a picture. Works on iPad, but wanted it on galaxy tablet.
4 ★After we purchased the complete set of 'Hardware', I was nervous when I saw the reviews for the app. We did experience some of the difficulties others have lamented in the reviews, but we eventually got everything working and my kids love it. It has ended up being fun, educational, and simple enough for the kids to run. Like others we had a hard time getting the app calibrated and the first molecule scanned. For us the problem was with the first molecule the app kept labeling the atoms incorrectly. Typically the app lets you manually change the labels if needed, but this is not an option with the first molecule. I changed the lighting over the molecule to brighten the colors and then the app recognized them correctly and we were on our way. One other tip, if the molecule seems impossible to connect correctly, just set the atoms next to each other without connecting them. It works just fine.
