مرتضی پاشایی (زادهٔ ۲۰ مرداد ۱۳۶۳ – درگذشتهٔ ۲۳ آبان ۱۳۹۳) خواننده، نوازنده و آهنگساز پاپ ایرانی بود.پاشایی در سال ۱۳۸۹ با قرار دادن ترانه‌هایش در اینترنت به شهرت رسید. او نخستین آلبوم خود به نام«یکی هست» را در سال ۱۳۹۱ به صورت رسمی منتشر کرد.«اسمش عشقه» و«گل بیتا»دو آلبوم دیگرِ او هستند که تا پیش از درگذشتش به‌صورت رسمی منتشر نشده بودند وسر انجام آلبوم «اسمش عشقه» در تابستان ۹۴ به‌طور رسمی منتشر شد.[۱]
وی از آذر ۱۳۹۲ به تشخیص پزشکان به سرطان معده مبتلا شد[۲] و در ۲۳ آبان ۱۳۹۳ در ۳۰سالگی درگذشت. او دانشجوی رشتهٔ گرافیک بوده و از کودکی به موسیقی علاقه داشته‌است. موسیقی را از چهارده‌سالگی با نواختن گیتار آغاز کرد.
مرتضی پاشایی از سال ۱۳۸۹ با انتشار اینترنتیِ قطعات خود شروع به کار کرد. او با قطعهٔ «یکی هست» به شهرت رسید. صدای خاص و احساسی بودن ترانه‌هایش او را از سایر خواننده‌ها متمایز می‌کرد. ترانه‌سرای بیشتر آهنگ‌هایش مهرزاد امیرخانی بود، که البته رابطه صمیمی با یک دیگر داشته‌اند. کارشناسان، او را از پیروان سبک شادمهر عقیلی می‌دانند.[۳][۴] مرتضی پاشایی در پاییز سال ۱۳۹۱ باانتشار آلبوم یکی هست به جمع خوانندگان دارای آلبوم پاپ ایران پیوست.
ترانهٔ «یکی هست» از کارهای شاخص پاشایی دانسته می‌شود. پاشایی ترانهٔ «عصر پاییزی» را برای مجموعهٔ تلویزیونی به همان نام ساخته‌بود که مسئولان صدا و سیمای جمهوری اسلامی ایران به آن اجازهٔ پخش ندادند. پاشایی نیز «عصر پاییزی» را در اینترنت منتشر کرد که به یکی از محبوب‌ترین ترانه‌های او تبدیل شد.[۵] او همچنین ترانهٔ «نگران منی» را به‌عنوان تیتراژ برنامهٔ تلویزیونیِ ماه عسل سال ۹۳ اجرا کرده‌بود و ترانه «مثل شیشه» و «تو راست میگی» را برای فیلم مثل شیشه خواند.
مراقبت‌های ویژه تب شدید عنوان شد. به‌دلیل شرایط خاص مرتضی پاشایی، پزشکان ملاقات با وی را ممنوع کردند؛ بااین‌حال، عصر یکشنبه ۱۸ آبان تعدادی از هنرمندان برای ملاقات با او و افزایش روحیهٔ مرتضی پاشایی در بیمارستان بهمن حاضر شدند و لحظاتی کوتاه در کنارش بودند. همچنین در ۲۰ آبان معاون هنری وزارت فرهنگ و ارشاد اسلامی ایران و مدیرعامل انجمن موسیقی ایران از وی عیادت کرده‌بودند.
پاشایی در ۱۳ آبان ۱۳۹۳ به‌علت شرایط وخیم بیماری سرطان معده در بیمارستان بهمن تهران بستری شد و بر اثر این بیماری، صبح روز جمعه بیست‌وسوم آبان ۱۳۹۳ (حدود ساعت ۱۰:۳۰ صبح) در بیمارستان بهمنِ تهران درگذشت.
