Merbah belukar adalah nama sejenis burung pengicau dari suku Pycnonotidae. Burung ini juga disebut dengan nama lain: mancrang. Nama ilmiahnya adalah Pycnonotus plumosus Blyth, 1845. Sementara dalam bahasa Inggris disebut Olive-winged Bulbul, sesuai dengan warna sayapnya.Burung yang berukuran sedang, panjang tubuh total (diukur dari ujung paruh hingga ujung ekor) sekitar 20 cm.
Sisi atas berwarna kelabu kehitaman atau kecoklatan, punggung dan sayap tersaput hijau zaitun. Dagu dan tenggorokan putih atau keputihan. Dada kelabu keputihan, dada bagian bawah dan perut tersaput hijau zaitun. Penutup pantat berwarna kuning kecoklatan.
Iris coklat merah tua, paruh hitam dan kaki kecoklatan.
Merbah belukar menyukai pinggir hutan dan hutan lebat. Sendirian atau berpasangan, burung ini menjelajahi lapis tengah atau atas tajuk hutan. Memburu aneka serangga dan ulat, serta mencari buah-buahan lunak, seperti buah beringin untuk makanannya.
Menyebar di Semenanjung Malaya, Sumatra, Jawa, Kalimantan dan Palawan. Di Sumatra dan Kalimantan, burung ini umum ditemukan di hutan dataran rendah hingga ketinggian 300 m dpl; di Jawa hingga ketinggian 800 m.
Sarang berbentuk cawan terbuat dari rerumputan, daun dan ranting halus, diletakkan pada semak atau perdu. Telur dua butir, kemerah jambuan berbintik-bintik.
Di Jawa, burung ini sering disebut sebagai burung kapas tembak.
