Ubiquity Music Widget APK Download for Android

Description

A clean and simple universal music widget for Android 4.4+.

Ubiquity should work with any music player that displays controls and album art on the lockscreen (which is most music players, though some implement it poorly).

If you switch between different music players, you don't need to switch widgets. Just stop playing music in one app and start in another and the widget should switch.

As of version 2.0.3, all plus features are free and the source code is available on GitHub (github.com/jathak/musicwidget).

**Important**
This widget will not work until you go to Security>Notification access in settings and check "Ubiquity Music Widget"

2 ★I'm ridiculously upset right now. I just spent the better half of my day looking for music widgets, and this was the only one that I could customize to my liking. Imagine my shock when this app also decided to stop working- just like everyone else in the reviews is saying. This might be the only review I write, but please, *please,* fix it for use on Android 10. I'm begging you.

3 ★Widget stops working from time to time. Only remedy is via reading the widget which is quite a hassle. Any way to refresh the widget periodically from time to time? Other than that this is a really aesthetically pleasing and clean widget would be a 5/5 otherwise.

5 ★THIS is what i've been searching for. The Play store images don't show it, but the widget has both clear and tinted backgrounds. Controls whichever app is currently playing music, with a default set of nothing is open. Even works in the Samsung lockscreen! How is this free?

4 ★Nice Work with the multi app support, although sometime it doesn't sync properly. Nevermind with that as this is probably the only widget in playstore to work as it says! One suggestion though, if we could customize the widget layout to have rounded corners. That would be great! Thank you.

3 ★Fairly broken on newer versions of Android. Works correctly about half the time. Sometimes revoking and reauthorizing notification access fixes it. Sometimes you have to kill the app. Sometimes neither works until you reboot the device.

4 ★I adored this when it worked smoothly. Now despite being set to open Spotify by default and even when it shows a Spotify song, tapping the album cover art consistently opens Castbox. I'm not sure whether the problem is with this widget or Castbox but it's still pretty darn frustrating.

5 ★Spotify removed its widget and jathak gave it back! You can't like songs or do special actions, but it gets the job done with some customizability. If you're having problems like crashing, remember to give the app notification access!

2 ★All the controls worked and it was cross compatible with Spotify and Soundcloud which is what I wanted, but it gets stuck on the artwork, artist, track, and albulm name it shows so disappointing as this is such a good concept, eager to see this get fixed

4 ★A must-have if you want a decent Spotify widget instead of the stock black box. only downside is that you cant change font color, in light wallpapers is difficult to read. overall great app

4 ★Now that Spotify has removed it own widget, this is the only widget I have found that looks similar. Not great, but no choice. Could be made much better. Crashes a bit and if a bit slow.
